You know, I wrote I'm Yours on an electric guitar, [N] just kind of muting the strings, and I [Gb] played only
And I played it this way for years.
Never really added [Abm] much flair to it, just chugged along and I sang, [E] and it required a second [Em] guitar to give [Gb] me the little feel.
[N]
So it was a two-guitar song for a long time.
So then I'm watching the YouTube, and I see this kid playing the rhythm, and he's playing the melody, and he's just rocking, he's about 15 maybe.
My jaw just dropped.
So I said, alright, you're my zen master, and I'm going to learn this.
And I'm still learning it, but [Abm]
it's been fantastic.
So I learned the tuning [Ab]
that [C] he played.
I never actually met the kid, but we have a month in Asia, I'm hoping he turns up.
So we tuned down the top three [Ab] strings a whole step, and by the time we put the capo on [A] four, [B] we kind of get the B chord [Gb] basically right [B] off the bottom [G] strings here.
[B] So we
[Gb] got
[Abm]
[B]
the melody's in here.
[Gb]
[A] And [B] so
[Gb]
[Db] [Abm]
[E]
[B]
[Gb] on, you know.
So [Abm] now, but adding that to the show with the band, it's just taken the song up [Bb] a whole other level because we have a proper arrangement on the guitar [E] for the song.
So [C]
it's a lot of fun.
And now, of course, while I'm [B] singing it, I can sneak in like, to learn some.
[Ab] So thanks to [G] this child prodigy on the guitar on YouTube, [A] I've been able to [Ab] incorporate more melody [Gb] as I'm singing the song.
And it's definitely taken it up a notch.
It's very cool.
[E]
And I played it this way for years.
Never really added [Abm] much flair to it, just chugged along and I sang, [E] and it required a second [Em] guitar to give [Gb] me the little feel.
[N]

[A] And [B] so
[Gb]
[Db] [Abm]
[E]
[B]
[Gb] on, you know.
So [Abm] now, but adding that to the show with the band, it's just taken the song up [Bb] a whole other level because we have a proper arrangement on the guitar [E] for the song.
So [C]
it's a lot of fun.

And it's definitely taken it up a notch.
