Hey everybody, Jason Crabb here, and I have a brand new song called Good Morning Mercy.
One of the main reasons that I wrote this song, I was a part of writing this song, is
because actually I was at a youth event, about 350 students that I had around the stage,
and was listening to them, and God just kind of instructed me to ask them what they were fearful of.
You know, Russia was getting ready to invade Ukraine, we had just come out of the pandemic,
and I wanted to hear, you know, what the fears were that was going on in high school students,
and I felt like God wanted me to do that.
So I listened, and almost every one of them said the same thing, and then it hit me that's
the reason that suicide is at an all-time high.
People are putting way too much pressure on themselves, allowing others to put pressure
on them that they don't need, and second-guessing who they are.
And from a 6'8 basketball player to a pastor's kid that I listened to, actually to the youth
pastor, he said, I just want to be enough.
And so I went back and I'm like, okay, here's the deal.
We have got to write something, number one, something up, joyous, and who we are in Christ.
And we are not just created for taking up space, we are created by God Almighty.
And yes, you are more than enough.
You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you, and His mercies are made
new each and every day to those that mess up or just those that need to know they're
living by the mercy of God, and it's enough.
And so we kind of penned this song out, and man, I'm going to tell you, it's been a joy
to sing it to everyone.
So I'm going to do it for you here.
