Hey guys another guitar lesson from guitar made easy calm today
I'm going to teach you guys how to play Jane says [G] super easy [G#] song and it's the same thing over and over and over again
There's two parts to this song.
Okay.
There's the let's [G] call it the verse and there's the chorus.
Okay, that's it
No intro [E] no solo
everything is
Pretty much the [Bm] same throughout the entire song.
I just did the cover check out the cover
That's the finished product what you learn from this lesson, okay, [A] so this is exactly [B] how they play it
Okay, so let's start [N] off.
You're gonna have to know the G chord minus your pointer finger
Okay, and the pad of your middle finger is going to be muting [Fm] that second string that [B] a string
Okay, so instead of your basic [G] textbook G
Take this finger off and mute that a string and you've got
okay, and that's the
[B]
The next chord is [A] the a
Okay, [F#] you got to know an a and in this song usually I play my textbook a [G#] that I teach my website like [A] this, okay
And that's those five strings right there.
But [B] today
We're gonna play that same a but we're gonna play it a little bit differently
We're gonna get to that a a little bit different.
So when I'm strung this G the first part of the [G] verse
The best way to get to that a is [N] to basically just use the pad of your pointer finger and put it on all three
Strings and you can put it on that for that a that top E string to it doesn't really matter
Just [B] don't play it just muted.
Okay, so that first part of the song [G] the
[A]
[Bm] Okay, so this is what I'm doing.
[B] I'm strumming G [G] first [B] and then I'm doing two up strokes on [A] this a and just those three
[E]
[F#] Strings right there.
Okay, so so
[A]
I
[G]
[A] [D#m]
[C#m] Kind of hit this this note right here.
[A] It's on the the B string the second fret
[F#]
But it actually sounds a little bit better if you don't I kind of play this song a little bit sloppy
But that's how they play it.
So when I play it I go like [G] this ago
[A]
[E] So I'm actually I change that I'm going to be playing these three strings right here.
It just [A] sounds better to me
Okay, and I think that's more [C#] how they played in the song.
Sometimes they hit that string, [E] but sometimes they don't so
It sounds better to me like that more of like an a suspended chord [A] right there
so it's that you're still holding that same a with your left [B] hand and
you're going to be up stroking [Bm] the
[A]
D string the D string and the E string twice.
So
Okay, [G] so that's the first part though.
[A] And there's a little fill at the end of that first part that goes
[F#] it basically
[E] hear [D] that so
[A]
[G] Yeah
[A]
[Bm] Okay, so [N]
all you're doing is you're still holding that a with the pad of your
Your pointer finger and you're using your ring finger to basically
[F#m]
[E] This [F#] is on the G string.
So G string fourth fret [G#] and then we're going to go back to that second fret [B] a
with your pointer finger, so
[A]
And now the next string [F#] down the D string
[E] But they're not plucking only those [D] strings.
They're kind of doing a little [B] bit sloppy.
They kind of do it like this they go
[E]
See here I'll start [D] all over
[A]
[G]
[A] [G]
[A] Hear that they're strumming
[F#] Basically those three strings around it and they're hitting that note at the same time.
So instead of going
They're [A] going
[F#] They're basically just strumming those three strings up [B] and down
So I'll play through it really slow really slowly the verse one more time
Okay, so you can kind of pick up what I'm [G] doing.
So I got
[A]
[G] [A]
[E] [G]
[A] [G]
[A] [G]
[A]
[Bm] Used to playing fast.
I can't play it slow.
[G#] So one more time.
I'll play it really slow.
Okay for you.
So [G] I'm going
[Bm] That's the G [E] now the a and there's [Bm] actually one more up stroke [A] so
[G]
[A]
[G] [A]
[G]
[A] [B] All right, that's the first part that's basically played throughout the entire song
That's the verse over and over and over again.
Okay, the course of the song is [G] this
[A]
See it, okay, so [E] it's the G and how I'm strumming that [G] isn't going
[A] [G]
[B] [G] Okay
So it's a G that seems you played before and then you go [A] to this kind of weird funky chord
It's almost [G] like a D but moved down a string Okay
So I've got my ring my ring fingers going to be on the third fret E string
[B] my pointer fingers going to be in the second fret B string [A] and
The whole chord is [D] basically open [B] open D open G
That right there.
Okay, so those are more strings.
[Bm] So I'm going I'll play it really slow for you
So you guys can pick up on the strumming pattern?
[G] So
[A]
[G]
[A] [G]
[B]
See that's basically it and remember what I'm [G] showing that G on the chorus
Strumming all six [Bm] strings and then when I go to this weird [B] chord, I'm basically up stroking
And strumming at the same time.
I'm just doing those four strings right there.
Okay, I'm not doing all six
So make sure you do that
It gives basically the sound that you need to make make this song sound like the James [G#] edition song [G] Jameson.
So
All right, [E] it's a super easy song it's gonna make you sound like a pro [B] if you have any questions
Let me know go to my website guitarman easy calm.
I should have a blog post up pretty soon about
What this song is about?
[F]
Telling you the guitar [E] chords and a little bit more [G#] information on the song
So check out my website guitarman easy calm and I will see you guys in the next lesson.

[F#]
But it actually sounds a little bit better if you don't I kind of play this song a little bit sloppy

all you're doing is you're still holding that a with the pad of your

[F#m]

[B] I'm strumming G [G] first _ _ _ _ _ [B] and then I'm doing two up strokes on [A] this a and just those three
[E] _ _ _
_ [F#] Strings right there.
Okay, so so
[A] _
_ _ I
_ [G] _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ [D#m] _
[C#m] Kind of hit this this note right here.
[A] It's on the the B string the second fret
_ [F#]
But it actually sounds a little bit better if you don't I kind of play this song a little bit sloppy
But that's how they play it.
So when I play it I go like [G] this ago
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _
[E] So I'm actually I change that I'm going to be playing these three strings right here.
It just [A] sounds better to me
Okay, and I think that's more [C#] how they played in the song.

[F#] it basically
_ [E] _ _ hear [D] that so
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
_ [G] Yeah
_ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bm] Okay, so [N]
all you're doing is you're still holding that a with the pad of your
_ Your pointer finger and you're using your ring finger to basically
_ [F#m] _ _
[E] _ This [F#] is on the G string.
So G string fourth fret [G#] and then we're going to go back to that second fret [B] a
with your pointer finger, so
[A] _ _
And now the next string [F#] down the D string _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ But they're not plucking only those [D] strings.
They're kind of doing a little [B] bit sloppy.
They kind of do it like this they go
[E]
See here I'll start [D] all over
_ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ Hear that they're strumming

So instead of going
They're [A] going
_ _ _ [F#] They're basically just strumming those three strings up [B] and down
So I'll play through it really slow really slowly the verse one more time
Okay, so you can kind of pick up what I'm [G] doing.
So I got _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ [G] _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ [Bm] Used to playing fast.
I can't play it slow.
[G#] So one more time.
I'll play it really slow.
Okay for you.
So [G] I'm going _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Bm] That's the G [E] now the a _ and _ _ there's [Bm] actually one more up stroke [A] so _
_ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [G] _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ [B] All right, that's the first part that's basically played throughout the entire song
That's the verse over and over and over again.
Okay, the course of the song is [G] this _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
See it, okay, so [E] it's the G and how I'm strumming that [G] isn't going _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
_ [B] _ _ _ _ _ [G] Okay
_ So it's a G that seems you played before and then you go [A] to this kind of weird funky chord
It's almost [G] like a D but moved down a string Okay
So I've got my ring my ring fingers going to be on the third fret E string
[B] my pointer fingers going to be in the second fret B string [A] and
The whole chord is [D] basically open [B] open D open G
_ _ _ That right there.
Okay, so those are more strings.
[Bm] So I'm going I'll play it really slow for you
So you guys can pick up on the strumming pattern?
[G] So _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _
_ See that's basically it and remember what I'm [G] showing that G on the chorus
Strumming all six [Bm] strings and then when I go to this weird [B] chord, I'm basically up stroking
_ And strumming at the same time.
I'm just doing those four strings right there.
Okay, I'm not doing all six
So make sure you do that
It gives basically the sound that you need to make make this song sound like the James [G#] edition song [G] Jameson.
So _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ All right, [E] it's a super easy song it's gonna make you sound like a pro [B] if you have any questions
