JAMIE MCDELL - Take Me Home, Country Roads [ John Denver cover ] chords
Start Jamming...
Okay so today I'm going to do a cover of my favourite artist of all time.
His name is John Denver and he's a country singer.
He's actually not alive anymore but yeah he's just kind of been my favourite singer since
I was really little and what I was brought up with so I thought it would be cool to do
one of his songs called Country Roads which is the first song I've ever, ever learnt to play.
Anyway, and that's why I'm wearing a cowboy hat to try and be in theme with the country thing.
Yeah, also I'll just explain that I lost my capo so I made one out of pencils and a shoelace
so if my guitar sounds a little bit out of tune that's probably why.
[B] Almost heaven, West Virginia [F#] Blue Ridge [E] Mountains, shallow [B] the river
Life is older, older than the [F#] trees Younger than the mountains
[E] Growing [B] like a breed Country roads [F#] take me home
Country roads take me home To [G#m] the place [E] I belong
[B] West Virginia, [F#] mountain mama [E] Take me home, [B] country roads
All my memories [G#m] gather round [F#] her Mine is [E] lady, stranger to [B] blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky [F#] Mist it takes the [E] moonshine
Teardrop in [B] my eye Country roads take me [F#] home
To [G#m] the place I [E] belong
[B] West Virginia, [F#] mountain mama [E] Take me home, [B] country roads
I [F#] hear her voice [B] in the morning hour She calls me, [E] the radio [F#]
[B] reminds me [F#] of my home
Far away, [G#m]
driving [C#] down the road I get [E] a feeling that I should have been [F#] home
Yesterday, yesterday [B] Country roads take me [F#] home
[G#m] To the place [E] I belong
[B] West Virginia, [F#] mountain mama [E] Take me home, [B] country roads
[F#] [B]
