that I had for company [B] on stage every night.

My name is Christian Newman and I play drums.
Each of us in real time are able to draw
from this massive palette of musical sounds,
which is a good thing because the arc of the show
stylistically is incredibly varied.
There's everything from [E] dangerous levels of funk

grooves [Ab] from hip-hop
_ [F] _ to some [Ab] disco stuff
_ _ _ _ like everything [Db] under the sun. _

One of [G] my absolute favourite parts of every show,
an amazing moment is
at the [Em] very end I stand and [D] improvise
to the audience as though they are [B] a musical instrument.

That feeling of standing on the stage
and looking at the audience,
improvising together with this gestural [Eb] language
is such an extraordinary feeling.
