JACK VIDGEN Medical Emergency Update June 2014 chords
Start Jamming...
Young Aussie pop star Jack Viggen has spoken out about his private health battle on social media.
Now the teen star rocketed to international stardom after winning the 2011 season of [Bb] Australia's Got Talent.
[Eb] [C]
[Eb]
[E] Jack Viggen!
[A] [Gb] Now [B] the singer is facing a medical [Eb] emergency.
He posted this photo on Twitter [G] saying he's had a tumour removed from behind his eye.
Well showbiz commentator Peter Ford and Sunrise GP Jitti Mansberg join us now.
Good morning Chair, Pete this must have been a big decision for Jack to go [F] public.
Well yes and no.
You know what young people are like these days.
Everybody wants to share everything and everything's out there on social [Ebm] media.
So I [G] think he gets a lot of support from his fans.
A lot of his fan base communicate with him via Twitter and Facebook.
So I think he felt it appropriate to share and I've got no doubt after [F] he put out the message yesterday afternoon there would have been a lot of love [A] and concern coming back to him.
Ok Jitti can you explain what he's being treated [Gm] for?
It looks pretty nasty.
It looks horrendous.
He hasn't actually said.
What he's said is that there's a benign tumour that sits behind the eye.
We know there are a few different types.
He hasn't said which one.
He's had surgery to remove it.
Again we don't [A] often do that.
Usually we go to [A] radiotherapy or [Ab] even chemotherapy even for benign tumours.
But they apparently [G] need to do more surgery because they're concerned that they didn't get it all out.
That photo looks horrendous.
[N] He says that he's not in pain.
That that was just him sleeping.
Ok and Pete Jack's not quite finished his treatment yet.
Tell us about that.
Yes he goes [Bbm] back for another [C]
operation I think it [N] is this week and clearly [Db] his first [D] priority is to get [G] himself better and to get through this.
But in the back of his mind as a performer and he's a terrific unique young talent.
He would be thinking is this going to affect my appearance?
If I am going to be having any [F] follow up treatment?
Is that potentially going to affect my vocal ability?
[G]
All these things will be going through his mind.
But it's one step at a time.
[B]
Alright well we wish him all the best.
Yeah he's [C] just up the road here from [N] Breckie Central.
In hospital?
Yeah in the eye hospital.
