We're now moving over to the EP booster, which I have on my live pedal board
What I really like about the EP booster is playing live
The rooms kind of bright you don't have total control of your sound you want to boost up your sound a little bit
but still have it be clean the EP booster does that but
it the reason it's called an EP booster [E] is because it has some type of simulation of an echoplex circuit in it and
I used to carry around an old
Tape echoplex
tubes in it and I would plug into that and then plug into my amp and
It was a pain in the ass and it was always there was grounding problems, but it sounded great
So now I've got the kind of echo I need with some of these
Delay pedals, but I can get the tone from the EP booster with just this little
tiny thing right here and
[G] [F]
[G]
Very similar
To the RC booster, but it's a little warmer
It warms up the tone and it has a lot of game and what's great about having this one knob
It's kind of bright that you can see you're on stage and you're playing and you need just a little bit more [Em] juice
Well, you don't have four knobs to look at you got one knob.
You just dial it up a little bit
[G]
I [Em]
[E]
[Em] [A]
[Ab]
[E] mean, it's got everything that you need
So
[Bm] [G]
[A] [D]
[Eb] [E]
[A] [Em]
[Eb] [Ab] [E]
[G]
nothing.
I'm I got a little bit of delay going but you know really
Now a little bit of the EP booster
[E]
[D] So
[G] [Ebm]
[E] I've still got my Stratocaster tone, but it way fattens up the [A] sound
So [G]
[Em] [D]
[E] [Eb]
[Bb] [Am]
[D] [A]
[Dm] [C]
[A] [Am]
that's the sound of the EP booster.
I love it.
[Ab] It's [G] I think it's my new favorite pedal
And I'm the humbucker.
I've got a humbucker on here.
So
[D]
definitely [A] warmer
[E] [D]
[Dbm]
[C]
[G] [C] [D]
[F] [C] [Gm]
[G]
[C] [Gm] [C]
[E]
[Ab] [C] [Gm]
[C] It's killer it's just a great pedal and [N] you know
I think it's also worth mentioning that I'm playing through because well
I just wanted to bring in a small amp that wasn't going to blow the doors off the place.
I brought I've got a small
Vox Pathfinder that actually has a better speaker in it
That I put in but it's a little small tiny
transistor amp so the point of the reason I bring that up is I get called for a demo or a quick
Overdub and they say we don't want to pay carters and we don't want you to have you to bring your wall of amps and
Stuff just bring one little lamp and we're gonna put you in the control room
We need you to play one guitar part take my little Pathfinder
Got the EP booster.
I can get it to sound like I'm running through a bunch of [G] tubes
[C] [G]
[F] [G] [C] [G]
[C] [Eb] [G] Or you know if I need to get more and into the realm of you
[E] [Abm] [Db] So [D]
[A] [E] [D]
[Dbm] [B] [E]
[Db] [E]
[C] I can also get some like more kind of a country guitar sound it's clean
But yet I've got that extra sustain underneath my fingers where I can play the part, [Dbm] you know
[Em] [D]
[E] Okay, [Am] [Em]
[Gb] [Dbm] [Abm]
[E] [C] [Dbm] [G] [E]
[D] [A] [E]
[N] so that's the EP booster
