Joy has become this kind of Christmas, big glitzy glammy, like everyone joyful!
But it's not.
But like commercial.
It's commercial, yeah.
It's not serious and intense.
When you think of joy, _ choosing joy in place of struggle and trouble.
[B] Can you choose joy then?
[Ab] That's really the great question of the song.
[Eb] We wanted to have a bit [B] of a go, a tongue in cheek way of saying,
[N] well where is joy found?
Is it found in our iPhones?
Is it [B] found, what's going on on the television?
Or is it found in connection [Ab] with each other and our perspective [G] on life?
I [Abm] think it's a commitment [Ebm] day in and day out.
I think there's so many things these days to be sad about.
If you look at [Db] headlines and you look at what's going on in the world,
it's like [Ebm] wow, there's a lot of heavy stuff, there's a lot of sad things.
And so if you're going to allow that to determine your _ _ [N] joyfulness, your happiness, _
then you're just going to be sad.
You have a choice to make I think every day.
Are you going to choose joy or not? _ _ _ _
_ You are touring a lot and are you recording an album while on tour?
How does it work?
_ In the dressing room 20 minutes ago, _ _ tracking vocals [Eb] for a song that's going to mix [Gb] today,
in the United States, in Los Angeles.
So there might be a chance that when we listen to the album,
there's a small [Bb] part that's recorded in [Eb] Gelredome Arnhem.

That's insane.
