Start Jamming...
[G#m] I started using the Hot Rod DeVille's on [C#] tour seven or eight years [Em] ago.
I had to rent some amps, [G#] because I never played through them.
And I just loved it.
I played through the clean channel only.
[E] I set it at about [C] three or four on the [Gm] volume, and kind [G#m] of do the rest with pedals.
I've drawn more towards simple amps, [A] just the simpler the better.
My first [E] Fender amp was a Baseman, a blonde Baseman.
I [D] got that when I was about 16.
[E]
[E] [B] I was driving [Em] over here, and I'd been playing Fender guitars and amps for 40 years.
[B] So it's like in my DNA, I guess.
[E]
[D] When [E] they first asked me to do a signature, I was a little surprised,
because I'd been playing my 63 for so long.
I brought the original down, and they took a bunch of pictures.
I was shocked when I opened the case.
It really, it's, you know, because [D] this is, I would imagine that would be hard to match.
How the Fiesta Red fades differently on each one.
But, you know, the main thing is the feel of it, really.
[E] It feels like an old guitar, and it [C#] sounds beautiful.
[Em] It's got a woody tone, [E]
[F#] and it rings nice.
[Am] [F#] [E]
[Dm] [E]
It's got the wiring that I [G] like.
This is wired to the tone pot.
[G#] It's just a great sounding guitar.
I actually [Em] like the neck better on this [B] one than my original [C] 63.
My original 63 has a bit of an [E] odd shape to it.
It's [G#] got like a lot of shoulder on [F#] it.
And this one does too, but it's a little bit smoother.
I love it.
I got this a year ago, and I [E] haven't played my old one since.
[C] I've [D#] brought it on the road with me a lot already.
[E] It's great.
It's a beautiful guitar.
[G] I mean, to me, this is pretty much the most versatile guitar [E] made.
I mean, it's definitely a testament to Mr.
Leo.
He [F#] got that [E] right and the Tele right.
[F#] Just pretty much right away.
I mean, [C] if I have to take one guitar out on the road, which I do a lot lately,
it's [C] always a Strat.
You can just do pretty much everything on it.
