[E] So how's it been going as a [B] lovely new artist new to Nashville?
Like how is the whole process been for you?
It's been really cool.
Um, [E] you know, going from singing in the bathtub on TikTok to being signed, you [B] know, it's
it's really cool watching the way I used to make music on [E] my own to [B] seeing the way that
it can be mixed and the different sounds we can use and being able to listen to how I've
changed over the past year.
I feel [E] like finding your sound [B] at the beginning is like the [E] most important [B] part, you know,
and yes, but it can change and grow like you're not ever married to anything.
That's why [E] you're an artist.
You get to decide what you want to sound.
So it's actually super cool like [Gb] around two years ago [B] when you released Lady Like that whole era.
It was such an inspiration [E] for me because my regular inspirations like Taylor Swift
and all of [Gb] the countryside like Kelsey and all of them.
It was really cool to hear a [B] different sound.
[E] So that was an inspiration for me if you didn't know.
Oh, that's awesome.
Yeah, I love that.
I'm so [Gb] flattered.
Yeah, it took me years to figure out what I was even doing.
I [E]
co-produce all of my songs.
So after I write them, it's just [Gb] into the studio, you know, figuring out what instruments
I want to use and what [B] different sounds and [E] having like [B] a good sound quality is like so
important for me.
So the Bose noise canceling headphones allow me to really hone in [E] on all my mixes.
Like even when I'm traveling, I can still [B] hear things super clear, which is very helpful.
I write in a journal and I write a [E] lot of poems.
So usually my songs start there, especially on the road.
Also, [B] it's very nice with like noise cancellation headphones to be able to like block everything
out [E] and [B] really just [E] focus on the writing, put on some white noise, [B] write a poem.
A lot of the influences that I grew up listening [E] to were not purely country.
John Denver was always [B] playing in the house and then so was the Doobie Brothers.
For this album that's coming out, [E] a lot of it started just as we, you know, you and I both write songs.
It's just on [Gb] one instrument.
And so my go-to is piano for the song that we're [E] doing today is actually written on guitar.
For this album, I really wanted to try different [Gb] instruments because I feel like you write
differently on guitar than you do piano, which is why [E] most of my songs are sad because I write them on piano.
My [Gb] go-to is piano also, but it just depends on like the lyrics that I'm writing.
Like Good Person to [E] Me also [B] feels like a guitar song.
Yes.
It comes off as an Irish drinking song on piano.
It's just like not the same.
Yeah.
[E] So I'm very happy you're playing guitar with me today because I only [Abm] know [F] four chords. Nice.

[Bb] But I'd stop for a stranger [Gm] who's falling apart.
[Eb] I'm still learning.
[F] Good, [Bb] good person.
[Eb] Do you ever lose [Gm] it when somebody steals [F] that one last spark?
[Bb] Inspire a good person.
[Eb] Do you ever say no?
[Gm] Does the high road get lonely?
[F] Do you ever pull [Eb] off?
Cause I've cheated a [F] lot and made people cry.
[Bb] But I pray for the ones [Gm] that I love [Eb] every night.
