[G] [N]
Good evening everyone, it's very good to be back in Glasgow.
As Cliff said, I grew up in the village of Crosshill in Ayrshire, and I can remember
something about being there.
The minister in that village was there because in 1955 he had made a commitment to the Lord
Jesus Christ at the Dr.
Billy Graham rally here in that year.
I remember that.
But my only regret was that I didn't come to the Lord myself under that man's ministry
back in Crosshill.
It wasn't until I was 21, and looking back now I really regret not coming to know Jesus
earlier in those teenage years.
The song that I'd like to sing tonight is a song I suppose that speaks about different years.
It's a song that I've written specially for this evening.
I only finished it off in America a couple of weeks ago, and I was thrilled tonight.
I didn't know the message was going to be on the cross tonight, but it's lovely how
the Lord is aware of working things.
This is a simple song simply called, The Cross Is Still There.
[G] [F]
[Gm] [F]
[Gm] [F] Someone is knocking [Bb] on your door tonight.
[F] You remember his name.
Someone you welcomed [Bb] once before tonight.
[Dm] Then you turned him [C] away.
But [Am] his love's still [C] the same.
[Gm] For his cross [C] is [F] still there.
Even [Bb] after [C] all [F] these years.
[Bb] For his cross [C] is [F] still there.
[A] Calling [Dm] to you.
[A] Calling [Dm] to me.
[A] Calling [Bb] to everyone to [C] turn [F] and believe.
[C]
[F] Someone knows the doubt [Bb] you feel tonight.
[F]
And the hurt you've been [C] through.
[F]
But someone affords the power [Bb] to heal tonight.
[Dm] And settle this [C] feud.
For he [Am] paid [C] dearly for you.
[Gm] And his cross [C] is [F] still there.
Even [Bb] after [C] all these [F] years.
For [Bb] his cross [C] is [F] still there.
[A] Calling to [Dm] you.
[A] Calling to [Dm] me.
[A] Calling to [Bb] everyone to [C] turn and [F] believe.
[Gm]
[C] [F] Someone has walked the [Bb] road ahead tonight.
[F] Though you've just begun.
[C] [F] Someone has a [Bb] place in heaven tonight.
[Dm] For daughters [C] and sons.
Let [Am] him name you [C] as one.
[Gm] For his [C] cross [F] is still there.
Even [Bb] after [C] all [F] these years.
[Bb] For his cross [C] is [F] still [A] there.
Calling [Dm] to you.
[A] Calling [Dm] to me.
[A] Calling [Bb] to everyone [C] to turn and [Bb] believe.
[C] You thought your faith [F] was over.
[C] And the church's days [F] were gone.
[C] But the saving power [Am] of Jesus [Bb] has never been [C] so strong.
[Gm] And his [C] cross is [F] still there.
Even [Bb] after [C] all these [F] years.
[Bb] For his [C] cross is [F] still [A] there.
Calling [Dm] to you.
[A] Calling [Dm] to me.
[A] Calling [Bb] to everyone [C] to turn and [F] believe.
[Bb] [F]
[G]
[N] Thank you, William.
[G] God bless you.
