You guys are back for another video.
Today I want to tell you guys about some stuff that's been happening to me recently with
just the comments section and _ Instagram and different messages and stuff like that _ _ about _
finding a spouse and then not knowing if they're the person that you want to be with for the
rest of your life.
And you guys know _ I've been slash going through this _ _ recently.
And I was just like, _ it's just such an awkward place to be.
I laugh about it now, but that stuff is so, it's really serious, especially just for younger
people and millennials and stuff like that where we just, _ _ we become a Christian and then
we want to get married for a different variety of reasons.
But we'll just keep it there right now.
_ _ And I just want to talk to you guys about that, about _ finding out _ the person that you
may be with may not be your wife or might not be your husband.
I kind of want to address three points today.
The first one is being, if you think that someone could be the person that you're supposed
to spend your life with for the rest of your life, _ [Gb] the first thing you want to do is seek
first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
This is such a good reminder to take your focus off of, is this person my spouse?
Is this person my husband?
Is this person my wife?
And it puts your focus right back [E] onto God.
_ The main thing about God is _ before anything, he says it in the Bible plenty of times, you
shall have no other gods before _ me.
Don't put anyone, don't put anything else before me.
And that's because he wants to be God, because he wants to have that place in your life.
And we can so easily put different things, people, _ things, anything that can be, that
we can hold up as our God.
He doesn't want that because he knows that's not going to satisfy us.
And that's just not pleasing to him.
So that's one of the first important [N] things.
The second thing is that God said that, you know, if we delight ourselves in God, he will
give us, he will give us the desire of our heart.
Now what it means to delight, it means to really take joy in it.
It means to, if not, if I have nothing else in this world, I have God and I'm okay with that.
Just like in the Bible and in the scriptures, it talks about Job and he being a, he was
a man, he had a lot of cattle, he had a lot of things, but God tested him and he basically
lost everything that he had.
He lost his family.
And he, and he became really pretty sick too.
And it turns out that, you know, after all that Job did not curse God and Job still did
not curse God after through all that stuff.
So God wants us to be in that place where we can literally, everything could around
us could fall.
But we still delight ourselves in him.
And the third thing I want to talk about is getting counsel.
Counsel is one of the most things that, you know, one, it will humble you to, it will
just keep you _ not feeling like you're not alone.
Like the body of Christ is not called to be just different.
My brother Dante says it all the time, different islands, but we're all called to be one collective
body that can help one another.
So don't be afraid to go seek out counsel, counsel, you know, is this person, my wife,
is this person, my husband and take it slow and easy. _ _
And don't, don't rush into anything, you know, just, it's really a lifelong [Gb] decision.
And that's something that I had to slow down and actually see.
_ And just because the person might not be, _ [D] God might not want you to marry them or pursue
them right now.
It doesn't mean you can't pursue them in the future.
And that's something that we have to learn and have to grow with and have to understand
because God is so willing to walk with us on this journey, but we have to keep him first.
We have to, we have to, you know, lay aside everything to completely die to every idea
so that God can completely have his way in our lives.
[E] And that's a very beautiful thing.
That's the most [C] beautiful thing about life.
Like having, letting God have like God, having God have his way in all areas of your life.
And that's just amazing.
