Hi out there
I've had a lot of requests to show how to play this [G] saw [C] which is [G] the Jason Mraz
I'm yours on the [F#] mandolin.
There's a video of me doing this and I'm gonna give you a quick [Gm] rundown
I'm gonna zoom in on [C] my
[Em] My left hand here so you can see what's going on.
I'll try [G] to give you a quick
demonstration so the chords you're going to need are C
[C] You [Em] should know these basic chords, but I'll [G] just review [C] them C which [G] can be played like this
Second fret on the a [C] string.
I mean second fret on the D string third [G#] fret on the a string and then I'm gonna add
My ring [F#m] finger on the low [Gm] G [C] string fifth fret
So that's my C chord [G#] the G [G] chord just like that and then a minor which I'm playing as
G string and D string on the second fret and third fret on the a [Am] string and then I'll switch off
[E] this a minor which is
[G] fifth [F] fret on the low string second fret [Am] on the D string
[A] F is the other chord
[F]
[Dm] first fret [G#] first string [G] third fret
D string and fifth [F] fret low G
And [G] then occasionally you're gonna need a D which you can either play like this second fret
Low string [D] or [G] I do this fifth fret on [D] the a string
Seventh fret on the [E] D string and then I'll play [A] this little
[Dm] That figure [G] okay, [C] so let's get started
[A] So we start out with the [C] C.
We go the first string second string
while holding the C chord
[Gm]
right on that a [C] string [F] and
then [G] the G chord
I'm adding the fifth fret on the a string for that all on the a string [Cm] third [G] fret fifth fret and then the a [Am] minor
I'm strumming now with my thumb and getting the high E string [C]
[C#] [A]
[G] fifth fret on the D
[Fm]
[F#m] And [F] yeah, [C] I'll do that all again slowly
Here starts with the C.
[F] So now so you can see what I'm doing here.
[C]
[G#] [F#] [G]
[Am] [G] [Am]
[G] [F]
[Gm] Okay, so [G] that's part one
[N]
like this C [C] chord
Come down get the high E string [G]
[Cm] second fret on the a [G] string fifth fret on [C] the D string
[G] G the
[F#]
[Am] [F] a string [A] third fret [F#] that's second [A] a minor
[Gm] [F] [Am]
[C] [Fm]
[F] [A#m] [D]
[C]
[G] [C] [G]
[Am]
[Gm]
[G] [Cm] Clean that [Am] up.
Sorry
[F]
[Dm] third section, [C] which is the chorus
[G]
[C] Then [Gm] [G]
[Am]
[C] [F] [D]
[C]
[G]
[Am]
[F] [Gm] [Cm]
the [Gm] D
[C] Okay, so those all the three basic parts
And I know this is kind of [G] haphazard, but it'll kind of give you an [F#] idea of what's going on without me [F] taking 25 [C] minutes
