I hid a secret song in my videos chords
Start Jamming...
Over the past month I've uploaded some videos, but in each one are several hidden lyrics
of a song I've written.
My plan is to keep going and to keep making these videos I've been scared of making
and build the song scrapbook style from the clips of each video.
The first song from my new EP, out now, called Human, is called Arms Unfolding and I wonder
if it sounds familiar to you.
Back in April last year I said this.
I'm going to be uploading 20 videos in the next month or so.
And that turned out to be a lie, I did not have time to fit them all in one month.
Sorry about that.
Also I have a secret.
That video was the beginning of said secret, which was a project to hide different lyrics
with the right note in the next 20 or so videos until I had completed all of this new song
I'd written called Arms Unfolding.
If you haven't heard it yet, I would say maybe pause this video, go and listen to the
actual recording of it, otherwise the first version you hear is going to be a little weird.
I did not know just how long this was going to take or just how hard it was going to be,
but here we are.
At the end of 9 months I have made a baby of sorts.
What?
I was inspired by two friends who were learning to love each other again, because that's
how I was kind of feeling about YouTube at the time.
Obviously not quite as intense as their situation.
But anyway, this is the secret scrapbook song made from words hidden in my videos called Arms Unfolding.
[A] I hope I'm not tired of rebuilding, cause this might take a little more.
I think I'd like to cry at you and feel the way I did before.
Oh, our fire died last winter.
All of the shouting blew it out.
You know I could live without all of you, but I might like having you about.
Yes, these new walls are pretty hard to crack.
It might take a while until I trust you won't attack.
Oh, I apologise that it was only self-defence.
Running away just made sense.
But here I am with arms unfolding.
I guess it isn't quite the end.
Old partner in crime.
I am going to try to fall in love with you again.
[D]
I did it!
Now I can go back to talking like a normal person, thank god.
Okay, hands up.
Who noticed?
I didn't actually see anyone hitting the nail like completely on the head.
The only thing I got was, I got people saying things like, is it just me [E] or does she sound
like she's singing when she's talking [B] sometimes?
And sometimes that was said very nicely, sometimes that was said not so nicely.
If you're curious, here are a few examples to show you how this worked behind [D] the scenes.
[N]
Rebuilding, rebuilding.
I'm learning and growing and changing and rebuilding a lot of-
Maybe I'll tell you at the end, maybe I'll tell you at the end of all this.
But I'll probably always-
I just really like it.
Like, like.
I just really like it.
[D] I just really-
[A] I definitely need some lessons but it's pretty hard to practice.
I think I'd like to try- look, [G] look, look.
Right, I think that's [Eb] all I have to say.
I have fun going back and noticing all of the little words that are actually lyrics
in my past videos.
My friends have been doing that too, my producer Jo has been sending me texts, like playing
a game, like noticing which ones are which.
But yeah, I did it.
Ah!
Woo!
Anyway, like I said, my new PSL now.
It's called Human.
I'm really proud of it.
Please go listen to it and buy it if you so wish.
Thank you so much for-
Thank you so much for watching.
Okay, bye!
