I Got The Cheapest Guitar On Sweetwater.com chords
Start Jamming...
All right.
I recently reached out [Am] to my friends over at sweetwater.com because, well, [G] first of
all, I've known those guys.
I've known Mitch and the boys for [Am] several years, but I had an idea.
[G] I wanted to check out the cheapest guitar [D] on Sweetwater, [Am] one, but second, I actually
wanted to get a [G] guitar that I could then upgrade in a future [Am] video and then give away to one
of you guys.
So that is what [G] exactly is going to happen.
So this video is [Bm] going to be us [Em] checking out the cheapest [C] guitar on Sweetwater, and [D] then
I'm going to make a follow-up video.
I'm going to upgrade this thing, and then I'm going to [Em] give it away.
So without further ado, let's get to cutting.
[G]
[C] Ha ha ha.
You shouldn't have, guys.
[D] I don't need candy, but I'll eat it.
I will eat it.
[Am] All right.
Starting to open this thing up here.
Let me [Bm] get a little wider for you.
[B] [Am]
So normally I would just be ripping and tearing, but knowing that I'm actually going to give
this away, I got to pretty much preserve the packaging as best I can.
[G]
[Am]
So [G]
okay.
[Am]
Cool.
[G] All right.
So [Dm] what is the [G] cheapest guitar on [C] Sweetwater?
Well, actually, there was several at the [Bm] same price point.
This is an Epiphone [Am] Les Paul SL, and it was $119 [G] right from Sweetwater [C].com.
Now I chose this for a few reasons.
A, I love [Bm] the aesthetic and the [D] simplicity of the [Am] SL.
It's really cool looking.
It kind of reminds me of the guitar that Joan Jett uses or [G] Johnny Thunders or something like that.
It reminds me of a Les [E] Paul Junior.
Secondly, [Am] I love the satin black finish.
I am a sucker for satin black.
[G] It just [D] looks good.
[G] I just, I had to get it.
[Am] So let's talk a little bit about the specs [G] and the build of the Epiphone Les Paul SL.
[Am] We have a poplar body with a mahogany neck.
We have [G] a 60s profile, slim profile [Am] for the neck.
We also have a 14 inch radius [D] and we also have Perloid [G] dots, 22 frets [Em] and a whole lot
of rock and [C] roll.
Now you will notice [F#m] that the Les Paul SL comes with two [Am] single coils.
These are ceramic magnet single coils, [G] so they will be a little hotter and have [A] a little
bit more output [C] than a [Em] very vintage voiced kind of single [Bm] coil.
But enough of my yapping, let's see how this thing sounds.
[A] [G]
[F] [A]
[D]
[A] [D]
[F] [A]
[C] [D]

[D] [A] [E]

[G] [F] [D]
[G] [Cm] [A]
[G] [D] [A]
[G] [C]
[G] [D]
[C] [A]
[G] [A]
[C] [A] Okay.
[D] So what are [G] my thoughts overall [Am] on the Epiphone Les Paul SL?
Honestly, [G] it's a damn [D] good guitar for [G] $119.
[Am] Things I will probably change, [C] actually I will change because we're fixing [D] this up and
[G] giving it away to one of you guys.
[Am] One thing I would change out are the tuners.
The [D] tuners are kind of your standard entry level tuner.
[C] I wouldn't expect Grovers or something like that [D] on a $119 Epiphone.
[Am] Also the single coils, I wish there was a humbucker in the bridge and maybe I'll [G] put
a stacked single coil, maybe.
[C] Also I'm thinking about upgrading the bridge, [Bm] [D] although I didn't really have any problems
with it [Am] while I was playing.
[Em] I found that pretty interesting just by looking [G] at it.
I [D] thought I would probably [Em] maybe have [Am] some cording issues of sounding out of tune.
[G] No, [D] the tailpiece [G] is pretty good, but for the sake of upgrading, [Am] maybe we'll change
that out too.
But overall for [G] [D] $119, [G] huge bang for the buck.
I [Em] wish they made guitars this inexpensive.
When I [G] started playing, go ahead and comment down below.
Tell me [Am] what upgrades you would like to see for [G] this guitar [D] before I give it [G] away to one
of you [C] guys.
Let me know what you want to see, what you want changed.
Do you want me to paint?
[D] Do you want me to go totally nuts?
Do you want neon green strings on it?
[Am] The world is the limit.
Also huge shout out [G] to my friends at Sweetwater.com for [C] sponsoring this video and for sending me
the Epiphone [Bm] Les Paul SL to check out.
You [Am] guys have been wonderful.
I have been Fluff.
Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you [G] next time.
