Okay, so to know how to play a swung feel I'm gonna demonstrate a straight feel first
so a straight feel is gonna sound like this

[Dm] and so every single note that I'm playing here, it's like
[A] It's just very [C] like equally spaced out right?
very precise [G] and very like

This is kind of more what you would do in classical music
But then when you swing it then you're gonna take this this rhythm that I was doing before
So instead of being so precise is I'm going to take it and I'm gonna swing it a little bit
I'm gonna I'm gonna kind of make it looser than it was before
I'm gonna go ahead of the rhythm and behind the rhythm and just kind of weave in and out of the beat
so instead of going I'm gonna weave in between the beat so I'm gonna go and

That's the swung feel and I love playing that way because it's like it's like you're just walking along
You know, you're weaving in and out of the beat and you're just really free to just swing [A] to go
[D] [Dm] rather than having to be so regimented or very precise like in a classical manner where you're just going and

[F#] So the way that you can [Dm] you can count this because this is really important because you want to learn how to vocalize
This way of playing because if you can sing this if you can go
You know if you can actually do that with your voice and with your body
then you'll get that swing feeling a lot faster than you would if you're just
Thinking about it or or trying to play a certain amount of notes, you know, you want to feel this
So in order to count it
we're gonna use this method of counting like 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &
Rather than just rather than just saying like 1 2 3 4
We're gonna go 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & so I want you to try that with me
