[N] Hi, Aaron here from Superior [C#] Singing Method and this is How to Sing Better [A] in 5 [D] Minutes.
Okay, how [C#] to sing better in 5 minutes.
Now I mean this is a little silly because we all know it's going to take longer than
5 minutes to become a great singer, but there are some things that you can do literally
in 5 minutes [D#] that will shoot [Dm] you forward and make you a better [C#] singer.
And obviously the [D] 5 minutes, if you did the 5 minutes every [C#] day for the next 3 months,
you'll see pretty dramatic results.
Okay, so how to sing better.
No matter where you are in your [D] journey as a singer, as a beginner or intermediate, this
is a great exercise [C#] for you that is going to help you [B] no matter what.
And this is one of my favorite exercises.
[C] [C#m] It's [C#] z's, and a z's are great because it's [Cm] the zzzzzz.
It's [C#] a real buzzy kind [D#] of sound.
You can [E] do these anywhere, you don't have to do them [D] loud, you [C#] can do them quiet, so
you could [D#] do them in your car, you could do them as you're walking [C#] down the street and
You might look a little weird if you pass people and they're like, what's this guy doing?
But the Zs, the good thing about the [C] Zs is [C#] because it [E] is a closed mouth-ish exercise
and [C] the zzzzzzz that kind of [D#] keeps the [D] sound trapped back in your [C] voice.
It's not the [C#] ahhhh, all [E] that kind of exercise.
It's a really [C#] safe exercise [C] to do anywhere.
[C#] And it also, the buzz, it wakes, not only [F] wakes up the vocal cords, but [D#] it begins, [C#] it
like wakes up the face.
[Em] The buzz kind of [D#] loosens up the face.
[C#] We want our face and our jaw, you know, muscles, and our lips even to be nice and agile, nice and loose.
When there's a lot of tension, it affects our singing in a negative way.
So it helps, this helps all kinds of things.
And [C#m] so, the way I want you to do this is, it's basically going to be a one, [C#] two, three,
four, four, four, four, four, four, four, [D] three, two, one.
I don't know how [C] many fours I counted there, [C#] but it's going to be basically like this.
Zzzzzzz.
[E] Okay, so, [C#m] did you do that with me?
Did you do that with [D] me?
You're just, [C#] you're not going to get any better if you're just watching me and you're not
doing it yourself.
Okay, I'm going to give you one more chance, [C#m] okay?
You're doing it with me?
Nobody's [C#] around you?
Even if they are, it's fine.
Here, let's do it together.
[E] So if you did these literally for three [D] minutes or [C#] five minutes, test yourself on how [D] your voice feels.
Do a little [C#] singing, you know, don't [C] do a lot before [C#] doing vocal warm-ups.
Do a little [E] singing.
Do these for three to five [C#m] minutes and notice how much more freedom you feel in your voice
and [C#] notice how you're better with tone.
Notice how you feel more loose, you feel more agile, you feel, you know, not as tense and
notice that your singing will [B] be better.
[C#] Test me on this, okay?
Test me on it.
Even today, test me.
So, five minutes, let me know.
Actually, leave me a comment and say, it worked [C#m] or it didn't work, but I'm telling you, [C#]
it's
going to work.

It's a [C] great program.
[Dm] Even though I made it, I could say it's a great [D] program, but I put a [C#m] lot of time into
it and it really does work the whole aspect of all the [C#] areas of what it takes to be a great singer.
