Start Jamming...
So, the intro to Go by Polyphia.
Super cool song and [G] not super easy riff, but I'm going
to teach it to you guys.
So, on your A string you're going to place your pointer finger
on the second fret.
Then on your bottom E string you're going to place your middle finger
on the second fret.
[N] The first chord thing you're going to play is where you pluck the
A string and then you finger pick, or hybrid picking is what this is called, on the B [B] string.
Then you'll pluck the [Eb] E string and slide from [G] two up.
[B] Then [N] [Bm] a harmonic on the twelfth
fret of the B string.
So, [G]
then on [Gb] the top E string play the ninth fret.
[Gm] Then a twelfth
harmonic on the G string.
[B] Together.
[Db] [G] [Eb]
[E] You'll place your pointer finger on the fourth fret
of the A string.
Pinky or, [Gb] or pinky or ring finger, but I usually use my pinky, on the
fifth fret of the B string.
Then you'll want to play them together.
[A] And [D] so you'll slide
from four to five and then from five to seven, like this.
[G] Next, [B]
[Em] [D]
[Eb] on the D string slide from
seven to [A] nine.
[B]
Tap on the B string on the twentieth [Em] fret.
[D] Hammer on [Am] to ten on the top
E string.
Then on the D string play ten.
[D] Slide [G] to twelve.
Tap nineteen to open.
Then on the
bottom three strings play on the seventh harmonic.
All this together, slowly.
[B] [G]
[D] [Bm]
[N] That's the first
part.
Excuse me.
The second part is on the top E string.
You'll play on the third [G] fret.
[Am] Then octave chords on your A [E] and G string.
You'll play nine and [Gb] eleven.
Slide back to
ten and [G] twelve.
[Abm] Then slide back to nine and eleven.
So, [Gb] it would probably be this fast,
it is this fast.
[A] So [G] that together.
Next, on the B string you're going to want to play
seventh harmonic.
Same on the G string.
Then on the B string go to the twelfth harmonic.
So that.
Then [Eb]
on the top E string play the ninth fret.
And then [Ab] on the G string.
[G]
[Db] [G] [Eb] Then on your A string,
third fret, [Gb] B string fifth fret.
Slide three to four, five to seven.
Then [Am] open [Em] E, seven [D] B.
[E] Slide
on the G string [D] from seven to six.
[Bbm] Open [Bm] B, [Eb] [Gm] eight D.
Put your pointer finger on the seventh fret
of the top E string.
[G] And then hybrid pick with the D string.
[Eb] So, [G] all together, this sounds like this.
[Db] [G] [Bm]
Next, on the second fret on the high E string, you're going to play that.
[Ab]
Then, seventh harmonic
on the B string.
Seventh harmonic on [Eb] the G string.
Twelfth, excuse me, [B] harmonic on the B string.
[Eb] Then, nine on the top E string.
[G] Then twelfth harmonic on the G string.
[Db] [G] [A] You're going to [N] slide,
you're going to put your pointer finger on four on the A string, pinky or ring finger [Ab] on five
of the B string.
And you're going to slide [A] from four to five [Eb] to five to [D] seven.
[E] Then open E,
seven [Ebm] B.
[D] Slide from six to seven on the G string.
Open [Bm] B, [Eb] [Bb] eight on the D.
[Em] Slide from seven to ten
on the A.
[A]
Then [G] nine on the D.
Sweep twelve from the bottom three strings.
[Em] On the E string,
you're going to [Ebm] hammer on the fourteen.
Slide to fifteen.
[Eb] Then, for the B and E string,
play them together on [Gb] fourteen.
[A]
Then, on the G string, play [G] the sixteenth note.
[Eb] So,
that whole thing [G] together.
[Db] [G]
[D] [Gm] [B] [Em]
[Gm] [Gb] [G] [Eb]
A little screwed up [N] there, but that's alright.
The next part,
on the third fret of your sixth string, the top E string, [G] play that.

You're going to [Eb] slide from four to five to five
to seven.
[D]
[Bb] Open E, bottom [Em] E.
[A] Seven B.
Slide [Ab] on the G.
[Bm] Seven to six.
Then you're going to want to play
a reverse power chord.
[Gb] So, on the A and D string, you're going to want four.
And then,
on the top E string, you're going to want six.
So, the first [A] section.
[Bm]
[Db] [D] [G]
[Em] The next section.
[G] The [Gb] [Em] [Db] [G] [Bm]
[Bb]
[G] [Db] [G]
