Hey guys party Marty here easy guitar tunes Merry Christmas.
Thanks for coming to my channel there
I thought I'd throw a few Merry Christmas tunes up there for you guys so you can play at the parties and
Work functions or whatever it is you guys are playing out there and tis the season
So I thought I'd throw a few of my favorites up there as well
So anyway, this one here is a really fun tune to play it's by Chuck Berry.
It's called run run Ruga
I've seen this covered in every different key by every different band
It's it's been covered a hundreds of different times, but I play it on a B
Anyway, I find it sounds a little more bluesy.
I speed it up a little bit
So hope you you guys will enjoy this version of run run run Chuck Berry the three chords that I use are e a
[A]
And
[B] B7 which is the four-finger bluesy chord you have an issue with any one of those chords you can click on the
Help with chords link there, and [E] that'll help you
again, they're e [A] a
[B] B7
Now where it's a bluesy [A] tune I kind of I do [Ab] a kind of a weird strum there to give it that feel so basically
What [E] I'm doing is
I'm almost pulling off the strings, but not all the way.
I'm just kind of
almost muting
You just kind of rock your hand and then mute them.
I don't know if you can see that I
Do the same [A] thing with the a it just kind of gives it that bluesy feel
[E] You
Really all you're doing is
You're just [A] kind of almost [E] muting the e chord
same with the a
[E] back to e
And then your [B] b7
[A] So I actually played a little [E] faster
So I'm kind of slowing the strum down to give you guys a feel for how it's gonna sound and then I also
Run from e in the b7
[B] So it would be [E] your e
And then [A] you're open second string from the top [E] your index finger and the first fret on the second string from [Bb] the top
And [G] then your hit your second finger on the second string from the top [B] in the second fret
So [E] basically it's an e and then an open [B] one two and then right into your b7
[E] You'll also see me when I'm playing e.
I'll put the baby finger [Em] down in the third fret
Just to kind of give it that [B] bluesy feel again
These are all little tricks that you can do now
You can just play the basic chords, but these little things kind of make it sound better
So if you're gonna play your e [Em] often, you'll see me just put the baby down in the third fret in the bottom string
And I do the same thing with the [A] a chord
Just kind of gives it a bluesy feel [E] so anyway, here we go.
Run run Rudolph Chuck Berry guys.
Hope you guys enjoy this one
[A] Well out of all the reindeer you know you're the [E] mastermind
[B] Run run [A] Rudolph, the randolph's way too [E] far behind
[Em]
Run run Rudolph, Santa's gotta make it to town
[Em] [A] Santa's in a hurry tell him he can take the [E] freeway down
[B] Run run [A] Rudolph, doesn't really like a [E] merry-go-round
Santa to a boy child what a he was longing for
[A] All I want for Christmas is a rock and roll [E] electric guitar
[A] A little way way [B] Rudolph, really like a shooting [E] star
Run run Rudolph, Santa's gotta make it to town
[A] Santa's in a hurry tell him he can take the [E] freeway down
[B] Run run Rudolph, [A] doesn't really like a merry [E]-go-round
Santa to a girl child what will please you most again
A [A] little baby doll that can cry, sleep, drink [E] and wet
[B] A little way way Rudolph, [A] whizzy like a [E] sailor jet
Run run Rudolph, Santa's gotta make it to town
[Em] [A] Santa's in a hurry tell him he can take the [E] freeway down
[B] Run run Rudolph, [A] doesn't really like a merry [E]-go-round
[Em] [A]
[E] [B]
[A] [E]
Run run Rudolph, Santa's gotta make it to town
[A] Santa's in a hurry tell him he can take the [E] freeway down
