HOW TO PLAY - MARIO COIN SOUND (Piano Tutorial Lesson) chords
Start Jamming...
Alright guys, this is Amos Doll Music and in today's lesson, I'm going to teach you
how to play the Mario coin sound effect.
It happens when you grab coins in Mario.
So I'll give you a quick preview.
It goes like this.
One coin, [E] one coin, two coins, three coins, and an infinite amount of coins.
Oh yeah, give me them coins.
Yes, okay, nice.
All these coins.
Nice, nice, nice, nice.
But anyway, let's learn it.
It's really simple.
It's only two notes for the right hand.
First of all, we start on this B.
So this B, middle C is here for reference.
We go up an octave to this C.
We go up another octave to this C.
We start on the B right
below that C.
So this is the best B to start on.
If your piano doesn't go up to this high, then it won't sound exactly like that.
You can start an octave below, but it doesn't [A] sound as original to the [G] original coin sound.
But anyway, regardless, the two notes are B and E.
So B followed [Am] by the E above.
Like that.
[C] Like that.
If you want to play individual coins, make sure to
Don't be too afraid to actually make it a bit more harsh, the keys, because that's how
the sound kind of sounds like.
So it's [N] more accented, okay?
Because if you play it very soft, it doesn't sound like coins.
It sounds like the coins are falling out of your [C#] piggy bank or something.
You're losing coins or something.
So make sure, just accent it, okay?
Don't be too afraid to just
Give me them [E] coins.
[N] One coin, two coin, three coin, four coin, five coin.
And then, if you want to do the infinite coins, like keep grabbing coins like this, you trill
between the B and the E in a smooth and even way.
So what I mean by smooth and even, some of you guys sometimes, if you go too fast, you
will lose control.
Some of it will be slow, some of it will be fast, and that's not good.
You don't want to be [C#] like
[E] It just sounds like a broken coin machine, okay?
So make sure it's just very even like this.
Yes, I've hit the jackpot, [F#] getting them coins.
Yeah, nice and clear, okay?
Yeah, and that's it, okay?
So you want to also curve your fingers, it helps as well.
[E] If you don't curve your fingers, it's just not as controlled, see?
Like that, okay?
But curve your fingers [A] like [C] that, okay?
So infinite amount of coins.
So [A] one coin, [E] one coin, two coin, three coin, an infinite amount of coins, okay?
That's pretty much it, okay?
So, yeah, so I hope you enjoyed this short tutorial on sort of like this party trick
kind of thing, okay?
So you show your friends, [N] oh, I'm grabbing some coins, Mario coins, ha ha ha, like that.
Just learn it for that, okay?
And also, yeah, I have a lot of other tutorials on my channel on Mario sound effects as well,
