Mike Gross for RockingGuitarLessons.com.
That's 38 Special with If I'd Been the One per request.
All I know is it's from Tim.
So I hope you find this Tim.
Standard tuning for this is two guitar parts.
I wasn't sure really which one to show you.
So there is a secondary melody guitar part that's going.
[Em]
What I would do [G] on this to make it fuller is take your third finger [G] and go to 3E.
Let that ring and then [C#] the melody here is [B] open B, [A] 2G, [C]
1B, open B, [A] 2G, [G] open G, and open
B.
And then [C] 1B, [B] open B, [G]
[F#] [A] [G] [C]
[B] [Em] and then 2G, open G.
And then however [G] you want to do this part.
I'm trying to kind of combine them both.
The melody next would be, you can hit the [E] open E with it.
[A] It would sound better I think if [E] you did.
Open E and open B, [Am] 2G, [C] 1B, [Em] open B, [G] open G, and [Em] then a C major chord, 3A, 2D, [A] 1B.
[C] And he goes 5, 4, 3, 2.
And then 1, 2, 3.
Okay, so behind that, [D#] this was the part I was initially just going to show you is the power chords.
It's straight forward.
But I thought you'd probably want that melody line too.
So 3E, 5A, palm mute, they're eighth notes.
[Gm] So it's 32 [A] times.
[Gm] So I would go 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and, and do that four times.
Rather than try to count 21, [D] 22.
You know what I mean?
Subgroup it and think of it like math if you have to.
And [C#] then open E, second fret A.
[E]
[F] So 16 times.
So we go 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and, and do [E] that a second time.
[Em] Do the same amount of time on the third fret A, fifth fret [C] D.
Then that's going to [G] repeat,
okay?
[E]
[C]
Now this one, the second time goes 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 [D] and 3.
[F] Then go 5A, 7D [D] twice.
[A] So, [E]
and then slide that to [A] 7A, 9D.
[E]
Once you get there, hit it.
And then go, this [C] is the second guitar, but I'm trying to connect [Bm] them into one, you guys.
The cool part, I wanted that in there for you.
9G, 8B, 10E.
And then just go 3, 2, 1.
But in all reality, the other guitar [E] is still going.
Okay, then we'll pick it up over here on 3A, 5D.
Palm muted.
[C] 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.
[A#] And then 5A, [D] 7D.
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 [A] and.
And then [Em] you can throw it over.
And if you want to palm mute along with it, you [E] can go 1, 2, 3, 4, [C] 5.
[D] [E] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
[A] And then the [C] second time, it's 3A, 5D.
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.
[G#] And then 2A, 4D.
So, and then slide it over.
Start with a palm mute and [B] lift it.
1 and [N] 2 and 3 and 4 and.
So, you start lifting your palm up partway through on that.
So, that gives you a good chunk of it.
I hope it didn't confuse you.
The package really sounds good as a two guitar player thing.
So, I've kind of took, tried to connect them in for you.
So, I'm getting at.
So, good request, man.
Glad you made it.
