Start Jamming...
Hello guys, this is Amos Style Music and in today's lesson I'm going to teach you how to play this awesome, very catchy song from Fortnite called Smooth Moves.
It's a dancey type of music.
Okay, I'll give you a preview.
It goes something like this.
[Am] Check it out.
[C] [D] [F]
[G]
Like that, okay?
So, and you can repeat [Am] that afterwards, add more stuff to it.
[A] Okay, [D] [F]
[G] [Am]
let's get right into it.
So [Em] it's not difficult at all.
There's two [Ab] main parts to it and there are some similar aspects to it in both parts.
Anyway, let's learn it right now.
So, first [Dm] part goes like this.
Right hand starts on the A here.
Middle C is here for reference.
So A here.
So A, A, [Em] A, G, up to E, G, [Dm] and then A, A, [Cm] A, [G] C, B.
And that's it for [Bm] the right hand for this first part.
Okay, one more time.
It goes like this.
It [Dm] goes A, A, [G] A, [Em] G, up to E, down to [D] G, A, [F] A, A, [E] C, B.
And that's it for the right hand for [C] this first part.
Okay, once again, we have the right hand for the first part.
Left hand, we have two chords here for the first part.
The two chords are A minor, which is A, C, E.
Second chord is [D] D major, which is D, F sharp, A.
Okay, so with these two [C] chords in mind, so A minor followed [D] by D major, the two hands together goes [G] like this.
It goes [Am] A and A minor together.
[C] A and [D] D minor together.
[Bm] Like that.
[Am] Okay, one more time.
It goes like this.
Together, [C] [D] together.
[Bm] Yeah!
And that's that for this first part.
Moving [Dm] on to the second part.
Right hand continues.
It's like a similar first phrase of the first part.
It goes A, A, [Em] A, G, [G] E, G.
So same there, but now it changes.
It goes B, E, [Cm] C, C, [E] C, B.
And that's it for the right hand for the second part.
[Dm] One more time.
It goes like this.
It goes A, A, [Em] A, G, E, G, E, [Eb] [Fm] C, [E] C, C, B.
And that's it [Gm] for the right hand for the second part.
Once again, that left hand, two [F] chords here for the second part.
The two chords are F major, which is F, A, C.
40 white note chord.
And then the second [G] chord is G major, which is another 40 white note chord.
G, B, D.
So with those [F] two chords in mind, F [G] major followed by G major, the two hands together goes like this.
A and [F] F major together.
[C] B and [G] G major together.
[C] [G] Like that.
One more [F] time.
It goes like this.
Together, [Em] together.
[C]
[G] Like that.
So yeah, that's that.
So back to back the two parts would be played like this.
[Am] Check it out.
[Em] [D]
[Gb] [Dm] [F] [Em] [G]
[C] [Am] [C] [D]
[F] [Em]
[G] [D] [Am] Yeah, so after you [E] got all this correct, you can start to add [N] other improvisations to it.
So all the melody and chords and all the rhythm correct, you can just add these like left hand chords, arpeggios and like all these like octaves and like all these other patterns to it to make it more awesome.
You can harmonize it on the right hand.
You can do [Am] stuff like this.
[D] [F]
[G] [Am]
[Em] [D] [Bm] [F]
[G] [Am]
[A] Yeah, just [E] play around with it again.
