Hey guys, Party Marty here, Easy Guitar Tunes.
I've got another great classic tune.
One of my favorites actually.
It's been requested a few times, I'm just putting this one up now.
It's by Buffalo Springfield.
It's called For What It's Worth.
Really, really good tune.
I enjoy playing this one.
This has been a favorite of mine for an awful long time.
And the best part, it's another easy tune.
So, the way I play it, it's only three chords, and just a bit of a funky strum, but I'm trying to keep it simple there.
It's more of a rhythm guitar version of it, and it always goes over big when I play it.
So, I hope you guys enjoy this one.
Three [E] chords in it.
First one is E.
Second one is [A] A.
Third one is [D] D.
[E] Again, they're E, [A] A, [D] and E.
Now, the strum is very soft and very simple, [Em] but I always pluck the bottom E after I play the [F#m] main strum of the chord.
[E] So, it's kind of like this.
[A] [E]
[A] Very easy version that kind [E] of sounds like a song.
I'll [A] slow it [E] down.
[Em] [A]
[E] [A]
One more time.
[Em] [E]
[A] It's E and A pretty much all the way through the [E] song until the chorus.
I'll do that [A] now.

back to [A] the E, A.
[E]
[D] [A] [D]
[Em] [E] [D] [A]
[E] [A] That's it.
[Em] [E] So, practice that strum, practice those chords, and then join us for the song.
This is one of my favorites, Buffalo Springfield, For What It's Worth.

[E] There's battle lines [A] being drawn.
[E] Nobody's right if [A]
everybody's wrong.
[E] Young people speaking [A] their minds.
[E] It ends so much [A] resistance from behind.
[E] That's why we stop [A] and hear what's that sound.
Everybody [D] look what's going [E] down.
[A] [E]
[A] [E] What a field [A] day for the heat.
[E] A thousand people in [A] the street.
[E] Singing songs and [A] carrying sacks.
[E] Mostly sick hooray [A] for our side.
And [E] so we stop [D] and hear what's that [A] sound.
Everybody [D] look what's going [E] down.

[E] That's why we stop and [D] hear what's [A] that sound.
[Em] Everybody look [D] what's [E] going down.
