I'm just gonna give you a really quick tutorial on dancing on my own by Kalem Scott today
Really easy song to play actually not too complicated
We're mainly just gonna be using
four chords three chords for the verses and then
Four chords for the chorus actually three chords for the chorus, so we're gonna start off
really quickly on our
We're gonna start off on our C
So you got your C your regular C your index finger is on your fifth string first fret [Bb] middle finger is on
[Em] Third string second fret and ring finger is on your third fret
third
[Db] or second string so just a regular C
Got our C
So we're gonna be going
[Eb] Then to our G so both these fingers are going up one
So your middle finger will be on the second string on the second fret and your ring
Your ring finger will be on the first string and your index finger stays right there
[Cm] [Abm] And then we're gonna go to our we're actually [Gb] gonna use this F
I've [Ab] seen it played with the full barred one, but if you can't bar you can just use the open F
So this finger stays there the entire time
Your middle finger will go on the fourth string second fret and then your ring finger will go on the [Gb] third string third fret
So
[Db] it's gonna go C once
[Ab]
G once
[Gb] F twice
[Db] [Cm]
[Bbm] [Gb]
[Db] [Ab]
[Gb]
Then for the [Ab] chorus chorus, we're gonna go to an A
So again, this finger stays in the exact same position
Your middle finger will be on your third string second fret ring finger will be on the fourth [Bbm] string second fret
Then we'll go [Eb] to the G
Then to the F [Gb] twice and
[Bbm] [Eb]
[Gb] [Bbm]
[Eb]
[Gb]
back to the verse which is [Db] starts off on your C
[Ab] Then to your G
[Eb] Then to [Gb] your F twice
And [Db] you might want to like I'm picking it really loud there you might want to you're basically just going up and down and up
[Ab] Then down and up and down
[Gb] Then down up and down up [Bbm] and down
down
[Db] Then yeah, then yeah, it's really straightforward there, but that's the easiest way to play it
Instead of having to bar your F.
I've seen other people teach it where you're using the barred F
For a lot of beginners you might not be able to play it that way
So that is by far the easiest way to play it I found
So I hope that helped in some way shape or form just a quick lesson
Again, you'll probably want to play along the song
Definitely want to play it softer
Or maybe even [Eb] slower depends how quickly you can sing it or how quickly you want to sing it
but good new song from 2016, I think so
Yeah, I hope that helped in some way shape or form just those
Four chords three chords per chorus three chords for per verse.
I'm playing it with my capo on the first fret there
You can put the capo higher up if your vocal range is higher or take it off completely if your vocal range is really low anyways guys
Hope I helped so yeah have a very good day
Take it easy.
