How to play All Too Well by Taylor Swift on Piano chords
Start Jamming...
Hey everyone, so this is my tutorial on how to play all too well by Taylor Swift.
Just a disclaimer
I'm not claiming this is how you play it in the song since there's especially since there's no piano in the actual song
But this is just a way that you can play it and sing it and accompany yourself with all too
Well as I did in my video, so please don't comment to me saying this [D] is not how Taylor plays it.
Yes
I'm aware.
Thank you
But this is a good way to play it if you want to play it, so there's that
I'm first going to show you how to play it in the original key
And [N] then I will show you the chords that I used in my video which were lower than the original key because I can't sing
the crazy high part
Unless I lower it so yeah here we go so hopefully you can see and you aren't looking my shoulder right now
I'm like my pajama pants if you can see them, [Bb] and if you can't that's awkward
I just told you I was wearing pajamas, so here we go
So there's four chords like most Taylor Swift songs there are four chords.
Thanks for mixing it up Taylor
So we start with a C chord, I'm going to show you the chords first, and then we're going to
Show the pattern my sisters have conveniently labeled the keys with tape so [C] that's nice.
Thanks guys
So here we go so we got the C
So that's we're gonna play
The lower C, and then this is middle C here, so we feel the lower C, and then we're gonna go C
There we go, and then [G] we have a G chord so this G here
and G, G, G
And then we have what I presume is an A minor chord
[Am] So we go A
[A] and then A, [Am] A, C, B
And then we have an [F] F chord
so
F, A, C
Those are the four chords.
Those are all you use for the entire thing.
It's super easy
So when I play the intro and the little like interlude kind of things when I'm when there's no singing
I like to do a little like fancy thing with it, not really that [N] fancy
But a little thing with the keys just add some variation and make the song sound slightly interesting
Rather than just going like you know playing chords
So I'll play you the intro as how I play it, and I also use the pedal so [G] when you go to a new chord
Like I'm pressing and press the pedal so it goes like [C] this
[G] [Am]
[F] And then I can sing you I'll sing you the first verse too just so yeah
So [C] you get get this gist of all the stuff so it goes like this
[G] [Am]
[F] [C]
[Em] [Am]
[F] [C] [G] I'm not here no [Am] more, I might be okay but [F] I'm not
Fine at all
And this is where it [D] changes up slightly
So it does a little step thing so it goes
F, [G] G, [Am] A, [G] G
So it's like this
Fine at [F] all
[Am]
[G] And then [C] for the chorus it just repeats the four chords
So you know
There we are again on [G] that little town street
[Am] You almost ran the red
Cause you were [F] looking over at me
You [C] went into my head
When I was there I [G] remembered
All [Am] too well
[F] You know I just toss [C] that little [B] thing in there whenever I'm like
It's a little blank
Once [D] you get the chords down you can play around with it a little bit
And make it sound a little [G] better
So that's really the entire song to be perfectly honest
It's not really hard
So like everything literally
Except for the part where it goes
Any part where it does that
It does the
[G] Part
But other than that it's just C, [F] G, A, F
Including like the entire [C] song
Like you know
Call me up again [G] just to bring you like a [A] promise
So casually grow [F] in the name of being honest
It's just being literally the entire thing
Very very easy
And me personally
I like to go up the octave
For the like dramatic part of the song
Or what I consider [E] to be the like super dramatic sad part
Where she goes like
[C] Time will fly
It's like [G] I'm paralyzed by it
[Am] Like to be my old self again
[F] But I'm still not quite there
I'm trying to find it after pleasure days
[C] That's when you made me your own
And then I go back down for
Keep my [G] old scars
From that very first week
[N] Yeah so literally entire song
That's it I promise it's that easy
So then
I will show you now how I play in my video
Which is two semitones slash one full tone
An octave, not an octave that's a lie
Like a full thing down
Just so you can play
The crazy high note if you so please
So it goes like this
[Bb] It's a B flat
I don't know if it's a major or minor
I'm not a piano player
I just figured this all out on my own
So B flat Then D
It's that chord
And then we have our old friend the F [F] chord
So you know F
F A C
[D] And then we have another G chord actually
[Gm] This one varies slightly
So it goes G
And then G B flat D
Like that
And then we have like this
[Eb] D sharp slash E flat
Whatever you want to call it
And it's the
D flat or sorry D sharp
[G] G
And [Eb] B flat
As such
And then so you know it repeats [Bb] the same
In a [F] door here
The air was cold but still
I [Eb] felt like home somehow
And then for the
Find it all
It's find it all
[F] All
[F] All
And that's it and you just play the song
[N] As I told you earlier
So if you really want to
Check it out I'll add
I'll probably have added an annotation already but I'll
Keep it up there so you can watch the full song Being played
It's just the same rhythm the chords are different
Depending on what key you want to play it in
But that's basically it
And I hope I was helpful
I hope you enjoyed my video
And yeah
Have fun with your Taylor Swifting
Bye
