I'm going to show you in three simple steps how to create the same type of movement, the same type
of drop two chords, and I'll also show you guys how to create your own chord patterns.
Okay, so
step number one, we're going to add a two.
Now you're probably thinking as a beginner, what is
add two?
So here is a C major chord and I can play it here.
And a major chord is basically one plus
three plus five because the scale [D] is one, two, three, four, [B] five, six, seven, [C] eight, or one.
So one, three, five.
This is called a C major chord.
Now what we want to do is we want to add
a two.
So [D] one, two.
[C] Now we can do something as simple as [D] twinkle, [C] twinkle, little star,
how I wonder [G] what you [C] are.
And that's just a C to [F] an F, and this is the add two to [G] a G, add two,
[C] C, add two.
And occasionally we'll go [Bb] to a B flat add two, and I'll show you how we'll use that
once we get to step number two.
I want you to know that this video is sponsored by you.
So I'm dedicating this free video to all of my beginners as well as my intermediate musicians,
and you all know I love you so much.
So if you'd like, we're here every week.

Step number two, what we want to do is we want to drop
the two.
I know you're like, wait a minute, we just added a two.
How are we going to drop a two?
So let me [C] explain.
We did a C major chord, we added the two.
Now I want to show you something
here.
If we drop the two, the two is the second highest note.
So looking at this chord right here,
that top note is G, the second highest note is this E.
So we're going to drop [D] it right here.
Here's my [G] F chord, and here's the added two.
And remember, drop two is the second highest note.
We're going to drop this A down here.
I'm telling you, man, this separates the beginners
to the advanced musicians.
And now you guys are able to sound like those professional musicians.
So watch [Em] this.
C, drop two, twinkle, twinkle, [G] little.
That's my F, drop two, with the added two.
Little star.
Back to the C.
Watch this.
[Bb] How I, oh.
What this is, this is a B flat major chord,
add the two, and I'm going to drop the two, which is the D, down here.
How I, now go back to that
wonder, [G] to the F.
Wonder, watch this.
[G] What you [C] are.
Now what [G] was that?
What you, that's a G,
basic chord.
And what we're going to do, a G major, and we're [E] going to add the two,
and [G] drop the two.
How I wonder what you are.
Now what we want to [C] do is we want to take this
[G] up a notch.
And I'm going to show you guys some nice little movements.
[D] [G]
[D] In the C major scale, one, two, three, four, [C] five, six, [Em] seven, eight, or one.
If we harmonize this,
we will put the, we will go up a third.
You hear this a lot.
[A] [Am] But what we want to do is we want to
bring the harmony down.
This is, this is not traditional theory at all.
So we put in the
harmony note, skip one down below.
Now, what we want to do is we want to drop this A down here.
So that way you can get familiar with developing your ear to hear this.
[Bm] One, two, [B] three, four,
five, [G] six, seven, [Am] eight, or one.
Go backwards.
One, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.
Now what we're going to do is we're going to fill in the blanks.
All right.
So [G] here we go.
One,
watch this.
[G] Two, [D] three, that's a different type of chord.
[Bb] Four,
[D] five, [G] six, seven, one.
Let's go backwards.
I'm going to include this in the free download.
Those of you who are a member
of the free club, you'll have access to the digital files.
Some of you guys just want the
free video.
So that's, that's always free, but the free club gives you, you know, your account
set up and you have all of your digital files that you can look through and access and, you know,
kind of stay connected with this.
So anyway, so let's go backwards.
One, seven, six,
the melody line's at the top.
Six, [D] five, [Bb] four, [C] three, [G] and one.
Again, feel free to stop the video
to go through each chord or also you can see the free [F] PDF that comes with this.
All right.
So what,
what's the purpose of this?
So this is the melody line at the top.
And if you look at this,
this is the F, that same chord we did.
This is the [G] F two and we drop the two, which is our A.
So this is the F add the two, drop the two.
So this is my one, cause the one is at the top.
One, two, it's the same as a G add two and drop the two, two.
[D] This is a different type of chord.
This is a three, but it's really, if you look at this, this is a [C] C major chord.
One, two, three,
five.
And I just put it down this inversion.
And what I'm going to do is watch this.
I'm going to
drop, not the two, but drop the third lowest note.
I don't know what you would call this.
This is
like a rootless voicing, but anyway, this is the three.
Let's go to the four.
[F] Here's the four.
[Bb]
And we did this chord also.
This is a B flat add two.
And we're going to drop the two, four,
[D] five.
I'm just giving you a little bit of theory behind how I'm creating this.
This is the same
as our C chord.
Drop the two, [F] six, cause six is at the top.
All right.
And this is an F chord, add the two.
And we're going to drop the F down here at the [G] bottom.
Six, watch this last one, seven, which is
what kind of chord is this?
It's a G add two.
And we're going to drop the G down here.
Seven,
[F] one.
Let's go backwards.
See how fast you can go.
[G] One, seven, [D] six, five, four, [G] three, two.
Now what's the purpose of something like this?
Well, you can create patterns.
Six, [A] five, [Am] see if you look at my melody line, I'm doing a melody line like this.
[G] Let's create those [G] chords.
There we go.
[A] See how quick I did that.
Now watch this.
[G] What if I did a move like this?
[C]
[C] Two, four, three, one.
So this is my two, four, three, one move.
[G] Watch this.
Two,
[Bb] four, [F] three,
one.
Now watch this.
Four, six, [Em] five, three.
Let's [G] do it.
Four, six, [D] five, three.
And you're
probably wondering, how am I going to use this in real life?
Watch this.
Amazing.
[C] See grace, [D] how sweet
[G] the [D] sound that [G] saves a [G] wretch like me.
[D] [G] [F]
So [G] that's how we're putting these chords to use in a real life situation.
Also,
the expand series where we open those chords up.
[A]
[E] [D] You hear a [A] lot of twinkle, [C] twinkle,
twinkle, little [F] [A] star.
[C]
All right.
And you hear those modern movements.
I break all that stuff
down in all 12 keys in the expand series.
And you all know I never like to close any video without
letting you all know that I love you so much.
Thank you so much for your love and your support.
And also I want to remind you that today is a new day, a new life, and a new opportunity for you

I'll see you guys next Monday.
of drop two chords, and I'll also show you guys how to create your own chord patterns.

_ Here's my [G] F chord, and here's the added two.
And remember, drop two is the second highest note.
We're going to drop this A down here.
_ _ I'm telling you, man, this separates the beginners
to the advanced musicians.
And now you guys are able to sound like those professional musicians.
So watch [Em] this.
C, drop two, twinkle, twinkle, [G] _ _ little.
That's my F, drop two, with the added two.
_ _ _ _ Little star.
Back to the C.
Watch this.
[Bb] _ How I, oh. _
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ [G] _
_ _ _ [D] _ _ In the C major scale, one, two, three, four, [C] five, six, [Em] seven, eight, or one.
If we harmonize this,
we will put the, we will go up a third.
You hear this a lot.
_ [A] _ _ [Am] But what we want to do is we want to
bring the harmony down.
One,
watch this.
_ [G] Two, _ [D] _ three, that's a different type of chord.
[Bb] _ Four, _ _
[D] _ five, _ [G] six, _ seven, _ one.
One, _ seven, _ six,
the melody line's at the top.
Six, [D] five, [Bb] _ four, [C] three, [G] _ _ _ and one.
Again, feel free to stop the video
to go through each chord or also you can see the free [F] PDF that comes with this.
All right.
So what,
what's the purpose of this?
So this is _ the melody line at the top.
And if you look at this,
this is the F, that same chord we did.
This is the [G] F two and we drop the two, which is our A.
So this is the F add the two, drop the two.
So this is my one, cause the one is at the top. _ _
One, two, it's the same as a G add two and drop the two, two.
[D] This is a different type of chord.
This is a three, but it's really, if you look at this, this is a [C] C major chord.
One, two, three,
five.
And I just put it down this inversion.
And what I'm going to do is watch this.
_ _ I'm going to
drop, not the two, but drop the third lowest note.
Six, watch this last one, _ seven, which is
what kind of chord is this?
It's a G add two. _ _
And we're going to drop the G down here.
Seven,
[F] _ one.
Let's go backwards.
See how fast you can go.
[G] One, seven, [D] six, five, four, [G] three, two.
_ Now what's the purpose of something like this?
Well, you can create patterns.
Six, [A] _ five, [Am] see if you look at my melody line, I'm doing a melody line like this.
_ _ [G] _ Let's create those [G] chords.
There we go.
_ _ _ _ [A] See how quick I did that.
Now watch this.
[G] What if I did a move like this?
_ [C] _
[C] Two, four, three, one.
So this is my two, four, three, one move.
[G] Watch this.
Two, _
[Bb] four, [F] three,
_ one.
Now watch this.
Four, six, [Em] five, three.
Let's [G] do it.
Four, six, [D] five, three.
And you're
probably wondering, how am I going to use this in real life?
Watch this.
Amazing.
_ [C] See grace, _ [D] how sweet _ _ _ _ _
[G] _ the [D] sound _ that _ [G] saves a [G] wretch like me.
[D] _ _ [G] _ _ _ [F] _ _
So [G] that's how we're putting these chords to use in a real life situation.
Also,
the expand series where we open those chords up.
_ _ [A] _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ [D] You hear a [A] lot of twinkle, [C] twinkle,
twinkle, _ _ little [F] _ _ [A] star.
_ [C] _
All right.
And you hear those modern movements.
I break all that stuff
down in all 12 keys in the expand series.
And you all know I never like to close any video without
letting you all know that I love you so much.
Thank you so much for your love and your support.
And also I want to remind you that today is a new day, a new life, and a new opportunity for you
to become a better you.
