Start Jamming...
Something been going on and I don't know what it is
Woah, you don't mind a check-in girl but you don't know how to [F] give
Woah, you're driving me [Gm] crazy, I don't know [Ab] baby
Thinking that [Bb] it's me you're [Fm] fooling
Where's the [Gm] riding, all of our [Bb] fighting
Look at what you're doing
[Eb]
Where's the [Db] love, it's not [Ab] enough
It makes the [Db] world go round and round [Eb] and
Where's the [Db] love, just give it [Ab] a hug
It [Bb] makes the [B] world go round [Db] and round [Eb] and round
[Ebm] Where's the love is a true [Eb] greatest hit.
[N] Yeah, Where's the Love is early in the show.
We wanted it in the show early because this is the point in the album and in the concert
where we're sort of talking about what's at the heart of this character.
Love is important, getting through stuff is important
and the song has this momentum and this force and this like
you kind of have to vop and have to go along because it's still pure at that point.
I think the other thing about Where's the Love is it's really about seeing almost an injustice
and wanting to find a way to change it.
Where's the love, it's not enough, it makes the world go round and round.
This person is sort of asking the world to be a better version of itself
and this character that the whole story is about is asking to do something bigger and better
than he's ever done before, go further than anyone's ever done before
and that's kind of why it transitions [Fm] so seamlessly into Dream It Do It.
[Bb] [Db] Go round [Eb] and round [F] and round and round
[Ab] [Bb]
[Eb] [F]
[Eb] [F] [Bb] Let's sing it up, let's give it [Db] up
[Eb] [F]
These [C] [G]
[C] [F]
[C] [G]
[C]
are the days [Am] that turn into nights
[C] And the heart and hands that won't give up the fight
This is the line, [Am] drawn in the sand
[Bb]
That turns a [Cm] boy into a [F] man
In [C] [G] a show about optimism, [C] [G] [C] Dream It Do It is pretty optimistic.
Dream It Do It is very optimistic.
So Where's the Love transitions directly into a song called Dream It Do It.
The song was originally written [A] thinking it would be something for someone else, not for us
and it was full on to the vein, that title.
It almost sounds like you're kidding that you would call a song Dream It Do It
but when we wrote the lyric to that song, it actually became something that we're really proud of
because the verses talk about the long nights, the early mornings
and it really weaves in this, this is the line in the sand where a boy becomes a man
and that lyric was exactly what needed to be said at this moment in the album and in the show.
So Dream It Do It is still that moment where we're painting this grand picture of
like the pure aspiration, you know, if I can dream it, I can show up to the game and give my all
then I can probably make it happen.
[G]
You can dream [D] it, you can do [A] it, you gotta hold on tight, you don't wanna lose [G] it
You can dream [D] it, you can do it, [A] you gotta hold on tight
You can dream [G] it, [D] you can do [A] it, [Gbm] [G] hey, [D] hey
[Bm]
