We're at Sweetwater Gear Fest 2013.
I'm Scott May, product specialist for Hammond Organ.
And I'm Christian Matthew Cullen, Hammond artist.
And if your video was out, and you just had audio right now, and you heard what Christian was playing, you'd be going,
wait a minute, Hammond?
That was a piano, and a pretty good one at that.
Well, what's wrong here?
Well, this is the new SK-188, and it has some of the greatest piano voices you're ever going to hear.

_ _ _ _ _ know, all-in-one keyboards are the rage these days, and _ _ so we at Hammond wanted to have something that had the greatest piano voices
and other _ foundation keyboard voices, and we started with that great piano.
We go to an electric piano.

That's the classic time piano.
We got a [Am] reed piano.

_ _ [Fm] Now, [Db] you're thinking, an 88-note keyboard, _ how can you play piano and organ at the same time?
Well, this is a brand-new keyboard _ that's special to the SK-188, and what it does is the keyboard [Abm] is shaped,
and _ the feel of it is _ perfect for playing piano, but then when you're going to go do glissandos and typical organ moves,
you're not going to break your knuckles as you would do if it was a fully-weighted keyboard.
It's a little bit heavier than a normal organ keyboard, but not quite as heavy as a weighted keyboard.
And _ _ _ in the new software that we have, the keys fire lower in the keystroke like a piano when you've got a piano voice
and higher in the keystroke when you're playing an organ voice.
Christian, you're a piano player.
What do you think?
I love it.
It's great.
It's got all the feel I need to do piano and electric piano, the Rhodes, the Wurlitzer,
but it still feels great to do, like you said, to do all those glissandos, and all the organ stuff feels real natural.
So there's no shock between playing piano and organ.
Now, it doesn't stop there.
We've got _ some strings, we've got some orchestral voices, we've got the Pro Chord feature that's been _ a great feature on all the SK instruments.
So if you're a keyboard player and a piano player, this is the first keyboard that Hammond has made for a piano player.
And _ even in our artists, we're starting to sign new artists that are piano players that don't even play organ,
but love this thing.
When they want to play organ, they can hit _ the Hammond voices, the drawbar voices.

The guts are all the same.
It's just an 88-note keyboard, and it weighs 29 pounds.
It's very light.
