Hi guys and welcome to this easy lesson which is Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.
Now I've also made an original lesson of this song which is of a very beautiful composition
and if you want to learn how to play that please take a look in the description box down below
because the link to that lesson is right there.
If however you feel that version is too hard for you then please take a look at this version
because this is very beautiful as well.
So now I'm going to play a little part first and then I'll tell you exactly how to play the entire song.
[Am]
[C] [Am]
[F] [G]
[C] [G]
[C] Okay so I'm sure you just recognized that.
Left hand plays a c octave and then an [A] a octave back to the c octave and an [A] a octave
and an f octave [G] a g octave [C] and a c octave and [C] the right hand plays g c e [Am] a c e
and back to g c e a c e a [F] c f [G] b d g and [C] g c e.
Okay now I'm just going to play this like chords okay so it will be one two and one two [C] and one
two [Am] and one two [F] one two [G] one [C] two one two just like that okay.
So then the [E] right hand plays e f [G] g d b g okay like that and the left hand just plays a g
for two times [C] okay so you combine that like this right right [G] together right right together
okay okay now you can play the chords just like this play them together and then the right hand
[Am]
[C] [Am]
but you can also play them together right left okay so like [C] this [Am]
[C] etc okay okay so now let's take
a look at the next sheet.
[F] [Am]
[F] [G] [Em]
[Am] [C]
Okay so what we do here is the left hand plays a c octave [F] f octave g octave
[A] a octave and then [F] back down to the f octave [Gm] a g octave an [E] e octave [A] and an a octave [C] okay a lot of
octaves right there right hand plays g c and e together [F] a c f [G] b d g [Am]
c e a okay then [F] c f a [G] d g b
[Em] e g b [Am] and c e a.
[C] Okay now if you take a look above the chords you can see those numbers the blue
numbers two one one two two two two four so all you need to do is play these chords as many counts
as is written above them okay so one two [F] one one [Am] one two [F] one two [G] one two [Em] one two [Am] and one two three
four okay just like that.
[C] Now what you do with your left hand and your right hand if you make
it a little bit more complicated or just keep it easy that's all up to you because this is just
a chord lesson if you're very good at playing chords so you can make it very interesting and
if you're not that good yet then just try and keep it simple because you will become better over time
I promise you.
Okay so just play the left hand along so one two [F] and one one [Am] one two [F] one two [G] one
two [Em] one two one two you know and that's the four uh the third and the fourth [F] count okay okay so now
the second box of this sheet which is the last part you need to learn goes like this you [Am]
[C]
[G] [C]
[Am] [F] know
and that is the first box again right there okay so that is the part where it goes like hallelujah
hallelujah blah blah blah okay left hand plays f octave a octave f [C] octave c octave and a g [G] octave
[F] and the right hand plays a c and f [Am] a c e a [F] c f okay [C] g c e [G] and g b d and [Ab] again how many counts
you need to play it is [F] above those chords okay so one two three four and [Am] one two three four and one
two three [C] four and one two [G] one two [C] and again [Am] this is the first sheet [C]
and I believe you play this
part twice and then you start over.
Okay so that's it for this lesson please give this video a thumbs
