Okay, hello.
I'm going to show you how to play Sweet Child O' Mine.
I know [A] I'm using an acoustic guitar, and it's supposed to be played on an electric guitar, [Bm] but
[Em] Just bear with me, because [N] this is an easy tutorial.
I'm going to tell you everything that you need to know.
All the frets, it's beginners, okay?
So, it's just, [Em] if you want to play the tune, play it.
It'll sound like it's better on electric.
Okay, so, first note you're going to play is on the 12th fret on the 4th string, right there.
4th string, 12th fret, okay?
You're going to put that with your pointer finger, okay?
[Bm] So you're going to hold it down.
That note
Okay?
[B]
So, then, after that, you're going to move over 3 frets to the 15th [Bm] fret.
15th fret, right here, okay?
You're going to put your pinky on the 2nd string.
The strings go up 1, 1, 2, 3, [B] 4, 5, 6, okay?
So, 4, 2 with your pinky, [Bm] okay?
[D] And then you're going to put your ring finger on that string in between those two [Eb] strings, which is the 3rd string.
But you're going to put it 1 fret back from your pinky, which is the 14th fret.
So, pointer on the 4th string, 12th fret, pinky on the 15th fret, 2nd string, and ring finger on the 14th fret, 3rd string, okay?
And you're going to play them in that order, too.
So you're going to skip this string when you [B] play it, and you [Dm] go
[A] Okay?
[B] So, practice [Bm] that, and then come back.
Pause this.
Okay, so, you're back.
So, we have
[E] After [N] that, what you're going to want to do is you're going to take your pointer finger, just on the 12th fret, and you're going to bring it down 1 string.
So it's on the [B] same string as your ring finger.
Now, when you play that, you're going to lift your ring finger up just for that note.
And you're going to get something like this.
[A]
[G] [Bm]
[G] [C] That's the [B] beginning to it, okay?
Move it [G] down, lift up.
[Abm] There you go.
That's the beginning, okay?
[B] Next is
[G] [B] Okay?
[N]
So once you get that with your pointer finger, [C] 12th fret, 3rd string, [B] [G]
[Bm] you're going to move your pinky down from the 2nd fret, I mean, from the 2nd string, 15th fret, to the 1st string, 15th fret.
It's not a very big jump.
Okay?
So, that together is going to [B] be
[G]
[B] Okay?
You can already hear it.
So, from that, it's very easy.
It's
[G]
And then you're going to go back to this 3rd string, and you're going to [Eb] repeat it.
You're going to keep your ring finger down on it, though.
You're going to keep coming back to it.
[Bm]
[B] It's not hard, okay?
[G] [Bm]
It's
Okay, you're just moving your pinky down to the 14th fret, the same one that your ring finger's on.
Okay?
[G] [Bm]
And then you get really good at that.
And then, all you're going to do is, when you begin the riff, instead of starting with this, with the pointer finger [F] on the 4th string, you're going to start with your ring finger on the 4th string.
So it's going to sound something [Bm] like this.
[Gb] [B]
[G] [Gbm]
Everything else is the same.
[Dm] And then when you're done with that, [C] play that twice, each one [Bm] twice, and then you start with your pointer finger on the 12th fret, 3rd [B] string.
[G]
[E]
So, all [D] together, it should be something like this.
[E]
I'm going to show you how to play Sweet Child O' Mine.
