[B] [A] Oh yeah, Birthday by The Beatles.
[N] Here's just a quick rundown of just that main part.
It's really fun to, you know, for the guitar players when they have, well it's a cool song
for one, but also I always had fun when it's, you know, like someone's birthday or, you
know, like [A] especially like a little kid, you know, and you rock that out instead of, or,
you know, you sing Happy Birthday and then you play The Beatles version which is really
fun to do.
I know there's a lot of guitar players out there that have requested this song, so I'm
just going to give you a real quick little rundown.
Let's take a look.
Really, ultimately it's a blues in A, so the first part is based on an A power chord.
The next chord is based on a [C#] D power chord, where I just scoot [D] it over.
[B] Take a look at [A] what I'm strumming there.
A power chord, D power chord, [E] and then the E power chord.
Okay?
[A] Now let's take a look at the riff.
Okay, so what I did was I went on the A power chord, take a look at my right hand here,
then I'm going to take my ring finger and put it on the fourth [C#m] fret, then the [A] open A
power chord again.
Now my pinky goes to the fifth fret on the D string, then my ring finger on the fourth
fret, then open A power chord.
[E] And then just emphasize the little A [A] string.
Try that again.
It's hard to strum up there.
Same thing over.
[D]
[A] Back to the first one.
[E] Now up one.
[A] Back to this.
Here it is.
[D] [A]
[E] [A]
