[A] Hi, welcome to [E] my guitar workshop.
I'm Joep Belt and today I will be teaching you some [N] guitar figures
I learned from Ali Fakhatourey, a famous guitar player from Mali.
I visited him in 2004 and he taught me this riff
This is a style called Jimbala and he really stressed that you shouldn't play this style after midnight because it's the music of the demons
So if you don't have, if you don't want any poltergeist type of stuff going on in your house
Please don't play this after midnight
Okay, here we go.
So you have your guitar tuned in regular tuning except for the E string which is tuned [A] up to G
And I put a capo on the second fret
So you put your index finger on the first of the [D] B
ring finger on the [A] third
index on the [Em] first of the [Eb] [Am] E string
Hammer on pulling off on the third and the fourth
[A] Slide to the fifth from the third [G] onwards on the D string
[A] Now please mind where you put your E strings here because this is your own accompaniment
There [Am] you go.
There's one
[A] There's a second and then
another one [D] so
