[Em]
[G] [C]
Sleep [Em] on, [G] feel the rhythm in my heart [C] just breathe
I
[D] [Em] will stay, so [G] the lantern in your heart won't [C] fade
These secrets you tell me, [D] I'll take to [Em] my grave
There's bones in [G] my closet, [Am] but you [G] hang [C] stuff in it, boy
And if you have nightmares, [D] we'll dance on [Em] the bed
[C] I know that you love me, [D] love me [Em] even when I lose my head
[C] Get that scene, bum-ba-dum [D]-dum-dum [Em]-ba-dum
bum-ba [D]-dum-dum-dum, get [C] that scene, bum-ba-dum-dum [Em]-dum
even when I lose [D] my head
[N] What's up guys, Hybrid Life back with another tutorial
Now I woke up to a new song from John Bellion and I had to make a tutorial for it
It's just far too good and I know it looks a little bit intimidating
and if you guys haven't done any tutorials like this before
it's actually quite quick and easy
The way that it works is the right hand notes are displayed on the top
and left hand notes are displayed on the bottom
Each letter represents a note and each line of letters represents a chord
So for example, the first [C] chord that you play
C, G, C in the left and then E and G in the right
Now for the first section of the song that I just sang there
They're all simply rising up
The blue arrows in between tell you the direction that you go between each chord
So [D] [Em]
that's [G] [Am] [G] [C]
the first section of the song
Now these three chords, because they're highlighted in red
the reason for that is they make up the main part of the song
[E] When you go into the chorus and sing the [C] bum-ba-dum-bit
[Em]
[Ab] It's just those three chords that you need
You don't actually need a second section
Also when he sings the section
So [C] if you have nightmares, [D] we'll dance on [Em] the bed
You don't go up, you stay on those three chords
Now for the second section which is written [E] just across here
which is when Travis comes in
This section is slightly more complicated in the right hand
but it's very, very simple in the left hand
In the left hand you are simply moving up between E, [G] F sharp, G [A] and A
Now your right hand [Em] notes
You're playing a three-noted chord each time
The first one is G, B and E
[D]
[G] [Am] [D] Now the reason this is slightly confusing is because your left hand is [G] always going up
[Em] [D] but the right hand isn't
[G] [Am] So the way that bit sounds is
[E] [D]
[G] [Am] And then continue just the same [Em] again
[Gbm]
[G] [Am] [A]
So now once you've done that second section
you just transfer back [D] [Em] to those three [C] chords
[Em] [D]
[C] And then when you go back into the second verse
it's exactly the same as it was at the beginning
[D] [E]
[G] [Am] [C] And that's all [E] you really need to know
Now if there's anything else that I can help you with
please comment down below
If there's anything I can explain in slightly more detail
then I'd love to try and help out
Now this is the first song in John's up-and-coming album
and what we're hoping to do is try and do a tutorial for every single one if we can
[Ab] We should hopefully be releasing some guitar tutorials for these songs as well
But like I say, please comment down below if there's any way that we can help
Don't forget to like and subscribe
and we'll see you in the next video Thanks guys!
