I noticed you're a very good country guitar player.
Could you play some examples?
Sure.
Actually, I got into the [B]
[E] stuff from actually guys
like Albert Lee.
I heard him playing with Eric Clapton, and then I got that.
Oh, no.
[A]
[Ab] That's a [A] Dave Edmonds record.
Did that just fall off?
Oh, here we go.
Sorry.
And I heard him do like, all [G]
that kind of [B] stuff.
And then I just wanted to kind of do my own thing with it.
So between guys like Albert Lee, and then I
got into some Jerry Reid stuff, [D]
[G] do stuff like that.
Danny Gatton gave me [B] all that kind of stuff I got from Danny.
Roy Buchanan.
[A] And then I put it together with my own kind of twisted sense.
So [B] I'm
[D] [Eb] [A]
[Gb] [A] going to throw it.
Can you do that slow so the guys maybe?
[Em] [D]
[A]
[Cm] [A]
[Db] [Cm]
[A] [Db] Yeah.
[Eb] Something like that.
I can't do that.
[G]
[D] I'm yanking the guitar on a tune that it's so hot in this room
that we're playing out of Frankfurt
that these strings are about as dead [Em] and as
unagreeable as possible.
Not this room, but the room where we're doing our things.
And it's just so hot and stinky.
[Eb] You know, Europeans are stinky people.
[D] I'm just going to say that right now.
That's all right.
In America, they're stinky too.
[G] But there's men in speed stick.
And over here, they call it, it just doesn't work the same.
[B] [Ab] [F]
[B] But I wouldn't really consider myself a country guy.
I mean, I do.
Obviously, [D] I'm wearing a shirt.
But it's kind of a, I do bluesy stuff with it.
I try to be kind of a funky cowboy, is my thing.
And you know, like if I'm playing a funk tune,
I'll throw in those chicken picking things.
[F] [E] Throw
[Gb] [Cm] [C]
[Db] [A]
[G] [Gm]
[Am] [Gm] [Ab]
[A] [Ab]
[Gb] that kind of stuff in anywhere.
And I just don't have many friends.
So I just kind of stick around and play guitar all the time
and come up with stuff that I find disturbing.
And then I share it with others.
And that's why I'm a country guy.
I'm very, very lonely and poor.
And so it's great how that turned out.
I'll let you get the idea.
Thank you for sharing.
It's a pleasure.
