Cool, so this is Graves into Gardens.
We typically play it in B flat.
We recorded it in B, but it's pretty high, so we usually drop it down.
So I've got a capo on three, and I typically do the rhythm guitar,
which I do in G shapes.
So it's a little sloppy, it's a [Ab] little messy,
not supposed to be perfect, so I'll usually use my [G] finger for the intro [Bb] at least,
[Eb] [Bb]
like that.
And then I don't change my tone much up until the bridge, small boost,
to give it a little bit more high end to cut through.
[Ab] That's pretty much it for me.
And then I usually wait until chorus two, so I [Gb] don't play anything up until chorus two.
[Abm] And when I come in, it's this little slide [Gb] thing with a bend,
and then I use the slide on my middle finger, because I need to bend.
I use the slide, and it's basically a hybrid of two [Ab] or three different [G] guitar parts,
because it's just us two at church, so I'm trying to kind [Gb] of make it a hybrid.
So this is typically what I play.
Cool, so we'll play through the intro, straight into a chorus, and to the bridge.
[Bb] So here's the intro.
[Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] Chorus.
[Bb]
[Gm]
[Eb]
[Bb]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Gm]
Chorus.
[Eb]
To the bridge.
[Bb]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Gm]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Gm]
[Eb] [Bb] [Gm]
[Eb] [Bb] [Gm] Chorus.
[Eb] [Bb] [Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] [Bb]
And that's how we do Gravesend Gardens.
