Hey guys, I've got my guitar here [F] and I'm actually going to give a real lesson this
time [N] instead of just making funny faces.
So if you're not interested in learning a couple of gospel licks or anything, now would
be the time to watch a funnier video.
So anyway, so here's a lick, we're going to be in C major 7.
[C] [D] [G]
[Em] [D] [F]
[Ab]
[B] [Bb] [C]
[F] So here it is again, a little slower.
[C] [D]
[G] [Em]
[E] [Em] [C]
[Ab]
[G] [Dbm] [G] [F]
[C]
A little [C] bit slower.
[D]
[Eb] [D] [Em]
[D]
[A] [D] [C]
[Ab]
[G] [E] [G] [F]
[C] What all that was, was C major 7, [Ab]
[D] [G]
[C] [G]
then kind of walk it up to E minor, E minor 7.
[Em]
And then just kind of do some trills [Abm] off of that chord [G] shape.
So, [D]
[A]
[Gbm] [A] then F major 7, [F]
and then kind of take your [C] pinky off so it makes it a 9.
[F] Just [G] [D] hammer on and pull off that.
[Ab] Then A flat dominant 7, [Bb] which I was going to play [Gb] F minor [Fm] originally, but instead I
just decided to go all out.
[Ab]
Build a new chord off of the minor 3rd.
[D]
And then for the end, descending [G] lick,
[F] [C] that's [G] a G major, starting on a D.
[B]
[E] Same shape, just
move down to the B as your starting note.
G [G] dominant 7, and then A flat [Ab] 6 9, into C major 7 again.
[C] And instead of the A [F] flat 6 9, if you want to play [Db] D flat 6 9, [Bb]
like right there too,
it works the same.
Same [Db] kind of front 3rd.
[A] [C] [D] [G]
[Em] [D] [C]
