Hey what's up [B] YouTube family, I just want to post some chords [G] to God's Got a Blessing
by [B] Norman Hutchins.
The song is in the key of E major.
[G#] Really basically two [F#] chords to really get you through the whole [F#] song.
[C#] [G#] And what we're doing, the bass is going to go [F#] from an F sharp [G#m] to an A flat and then right
back [F#] down to an F sharp [G#m] to an A flat [F#] and then [C#] we'll go to a C sharp as a passing tone.
[F#] So first chord what we're doing is [F#]
bass is going to be F sharp, right hand is going to
be an [G] A major chord.
[A] So we got A, C sharp and E flat.
[Em] And what I like to do is add that B in there to give [G] it some more flavor or color or [F#] character
as people call it.
Alright this is the first chord.
F sharp, A, B, C sharp, E.
Alright from here we're going to A flat in bass.
[G#]
[F#] Alright.
[Bm] Alright and what that is, we got [G#] A flat in bass [F#] and the right hand is going to a F sharp,
B and an E.
Alright.
[A] [B] Alright and I use this as the passing chord [C#] to get you back to that beginning.
Alright [G#] and it's the same A major chord just over C sharp in the bass [B] this time.
Okay.
So [F#] you'll just play this a few times.
[A]
Right there.
Alright.
Alright and then it goes right back [F#] into the get ready for your blessing.
That's really it.
I mean there's a few more chords [G] but those are just the basic and foundation chords that
can get you through the song.
And what you probably heard me doing I was rolling the chord and you can do that.
[F] [B] Call it arpeggiating.
[C#m] And [A] it just adds, it just gives your playing [G] another flavor [F#] or character I should say.
[F#] [F#m] [F#]
[C#] Alright. Alright.
Oh what I did down here in the bass, [E] I double up on the [C#] octaves.
Alright.
So I have the C sharp down here in the bottom.
Alright.
And the C sharp here.
Alright.
So I double up.
[A] [C#] Oh one more thing.
What you can do [B] on your bass, you can add the [F#] fifth.
The fifth note.
Alright.
So [F#m] when you're on this A major, excuse me, [F#] yeah this A major chord on the bass you can
add the C sharp.
Alright.
So you can go F sharp, C [F#m] sharp.
[G#m]
Alright.
And what this is, is the A flat and you add the E flat.
[F#m]
[G#m] [A] [F#m]
[E] [F#m]
[G#m] [A]
Alright.
[D#] Alright I hope this can be a blessing to someone.
[G]
Take care and God bless.
[B] See you in the next video.
