[Ab] [Gb] [Ebm]
[Ab] So the [Fm] process of making music for me [F] has always [Ab] been different but for the [F] last couple
years when writing and singing my own stuff it's been mainly me and my collaborator, my
music partner Paul Harris.
[Gb] We go to [Eb] different incredible locations usually and especially in Norway, different mountains,
fjords and just exceptional cabins far away from anyone else.
It sounds cliche to say [Gb] but when we're in these [B] different locations it's [Dbm] been shown
at least to us that we do write [Gb] better music and [B] right now we're even in Mexico so we definitely
try to switch [Fm] it up.
[Ab] [Gb] Usually my sound [Ebm] is influenced by [Gb] the Scandinavian melodies of ABBA but also [Ebm] with the songwriting
and the [Ab] storytelling of Billy Joel [Fm] and Paul Simon.
[Gb]
[Ebm] The Ballet Girl [Ab] actually started beating fairytales [Fm] by H.C. Anderson, The Little [Gb] Match
Girl I believe it's called in English and it's this [Ebm] just horrifyingly [Ab] beautiful story
and that [Fm] inspired me to start writing this [Gb] story of my own little [Ebm] girl [Ab] who ended up being
the ballet girl in her story.
I guess in [Fm] retrospect it sort of did [Gb] remind me and reminisce [Ebm] of my own little journey,
[Ab] moved out into the cabin for two [Ab] years and just started [Gb] afresh with something new and
started making new stuff [Ebm] so I guess I was also in parallel writing about myself [Fm] in a
way which was cathartic to be honest.
