Garth Brooks Surprised By Ex-Wife Sandy's Remarks chords
Start Jamming...
[A] [G] Garth Brooks was looking for honesty during his new two-part documentary, and he got it.
Several country stars, all of his kids, current wife Trisha Yearwood, and ex-wife Sandy Maul
all had the chance to tell it like it was, and at times that meant saying things that
surprised the Country Music Hall of Famer.
I'm Billy Dukes for Taste of Country, and Garth talked all about it recently, but first
hit that subscribe button, because Garth and Trisha frequently turn to Taste of Country
to share stories.
In fact, if you want to hear Trisha talk about what it's really like to live with Garth today,
hang tight, we got ya.
[C] But first, his ex-wife's remarks.
They came during a new A&E documentary called The Rotaman that airs December 2nd and 3rd.
Speaking about the doc before it aired, Garth said his ex-wife is who really surprised him,
saying, quote, she was phenomenal.
I was gone so much on the road, there were things I guess she was trying to tell me that
I didn't hear until this biography.
It's rare you get to hear the other side.
Okay, let's back up a little bit.
If you're new to Country, Garth and Sandy were married [G] for 14 years between 1986 [F] and
the year 2000.
They have three girls, and it's some of the things that they say that makes them the most
emotional during this documentary.
The truth is what you believe it to be, so all you do is tell the [C] truth.
My oldest [G] girl and I, we have some variations of stories.
It's interesting to see both sides.
I like the honesty.

They also have a clip that might be even more salacious depending on what he means and what
comes out during this documentary.
While talking about meeting Trisha [Am] Yearwood for the [N] first time, he says, quote, I had
been married 13 months when I met her.
When someone said, would you think when I met her?
I said, I felt like I'd just met my wife.
Of course, those two would marry in 2005, and the way Garth tells it, everyone's pretty
cool with the situation.
He says he wouldn't change a thing.
Thumbs up this video if you love hearing that.
Trisha would pretty much say the same thing.
Talking to Taste of [G] Country Nights, she [C] said very rarely do they get [F] sick of one another.
In fact, it's really rare they spend a night apart.
Still, they have their areas where they all fall short.
He's kind of the girl.
He remembers anniversaries.
[G] He thinks of how to make my life easier all the time.
[N] And I'm like, oh, I probably should cook him a meal.
He's the thoughtful one in the relationship, so that's annoying.
