Which has kind of turned into a meme at this point _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ Now the first thing I really want to say is I like gabby a lot
I just feel like there are some things that I need to say because I worked with her for about two or three lessons
Over the summer, which was about three or four months ago
So I feel like there's some things that I can clarify here and there's some things that I can point out
To help her so that the next time she needs to sing
a monster song
Maybe it doesn't become a meme _ _
Or maybe it does I don't know what she wants

_ So let me just say let me just say this [Gbm] first of all, I do not think it's a good idea for in general for singers
Especially youtube singers to do performances that they're not ready for this happens
All the time and either a youtuber is caught lip-syncing

[Dbm] _ [Abm] they're caught just being generally like really really bad at singing their own songs
Do not do live performances when you know, your voice is not going to be able to perform consistently and in this case
Gabby, hannah happened to be sick before this performance.
That's not the only thing that went wrong
But it is one of those things that went wrong
I just don't think that these things are generally good ideas
And I think that it's best for learning singers or people who are [Dbm] trying to learn to sing to be as low-key
And stealth as possible
While you start getting better because people love to criticize singers more so than they will criticize almost anything else
If a youtuber [D] makes a bad painting, for example, you're not going to hear about it for weeks
But if a youtuber sings badly, [E] you're going to hear about it for a very long time
But anyway that being said let's talk about what it is that actually went wrong
Gabby like I think that she's getting a lot of unfair criticism at the moment to be completely honest
For her singing because I don't think that she's as bad as people think that she is
And I can actually prove that to you in about two seconds here.
So let's take a listen to the original.

That pitch is not a very high pitch for her
She's singing it too loudly.
She's singing it too aggressively.
It's not necessary
That's just the end of the story with that one
This is something that I worked on her with in the past and you can see it in my [Bb] gabby singing transformation video

So that's what she sounded like before
I gave her a few lessons and I had her do an open mic and we recorded her again notice
She's not singing too loudly.
She's not singing very aggressively.
She's not singing with a lot of force
She's just kind of singing very easily
And it sounds much [Dm] better

There's nothing crazy.
[E] It's just light easy good singing
_ So before when I said I didn't think that she was a bad singer
This is what i'm talking about because there you hear her in two different examples singing the exact same song
And one of them is much much much better than the other one
But if you only pay attention to the bad one, then you're going to come away with she's really bad
When the reality is that she's actually a good singer.
It's just that she needs a little bit more time to
Get complete control of her voice in that way in my opinion and I can further prove that

She's singing really really light and really really easily and really
Connected and in the other clip she's singing super aggressively [N] and super loud and super like edgy

That just doesn't work.

Those are easy notes for her.

_ She doesn't need to be going all out on those notes.
And that's what I mean.
She's a good singer
She just keeps making the wrong decisions if [Abm] that makes sense the decision to do the genius interview in the first place
When they're not going to fix your audio for you.
They're not going to tell you when you're not singing good
I think that's a mistake second of all the decision to sing that loud
Don't think is a good decision.
I [Gb] don't think that you need to do that and I don't think [Dbm] it sounds good
I think that if you sing at a nice moderate volume, you still sound belty
You still sound full [Ab] you still sound a little bit edgy because [Abm] belting is almost inherently like edgy
But you don't get any of the negatives of going 100 full out and that's been my opinion on her voice since

I started working with her.
She just needs to back off everything
And relax and sing quietly and calmly and as long as it's on pitch.
She's gonna sound great
but if she starts
Doing all these extra things and adding all this extra intensity and weight.
It's not
It's just not gonna work.
[Gbm] It's not gonna work out
I know that she wants and likes that like really intense like pop rock sort of a sound
That might have like vocal distortion or like some like screaming for the vast majority of people if you're still learning [E] to sing
I don't think that those are very good things to
Start jumping into I think that those are things that you save for way later down the line
I think at the moment the most important thing for gabby to do is just to sound good
To just sound like a good singer.
You don't have to be the best.
She doesn't have to
Add all the distortions.
She doesn't have to do anything crazy.
She doesn't have to try and add anything extra
She just needs to [Ab] be a good singer
So anyway, hopefully this video was helpful to everybody and hopefully it didn't I don't want to contribute to the negativity or [E] the
To this like hate train against gabby's voice because I don't think that that's a very
I don't think it's very nice
I think that you can take a look at her and her singing voice as a whole and look at it that way and
Recognize that she has a lot of potential and in my opinion
She's able to to deliver on her voice in a lot of the clips that we showed today
It's just that there's sometimes that I think she thinks she needs to do more than she needs to
