FROM THE INSIDE with ALICE COOPER: The Muppet Show chords
Start Jamming...
It's the Muppet Show with our very special guest [E] star, Alice Cooper!
CURTAIN!
[Eb]
Kermit and I got along very well.
I mean, it was like we were best friends.
[A] [C] [D]
[D] Alice Cooper welcoming [E] you in.
From the inside, where I take a look back at some of the key moments of [C] my career
and laugh about them.
Hopefully.
[N]
Alice Cooper, 15 seconds to curtain, Mr.
Cooper.
Ready whenever you say, Scooter.
Wow, I was good looking.
Sir, I think there's something you should know.
Yes?
These monsters aren't ours.
I know.
They're mine.
You know, doing the Muppet Show, my very first thought of [E] it was,
I can't do the Muppet Show, I'm the scariest guy in the world.
I had just built my reputation that I was at.
And I watched the show all the time, it was my favorite show.
And [G] I asked them, I said, well who else has done the show recently?
And they said, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Sellers.
I went, I'm in.
And we spent one week rehearsing with the Muppets.
And I never had so much fun in my [E] life.
[D] We did it in London, we shot it in London.
[Gb] You gotta admit, the opening [Eb] is catchy.
So [G] smallpox.
The whole cast was American.
[F] So, I felt right at home, even though we were [Dm] in London.
[C] But, very hard [Ab] work.
I mean, you had to do [G] the choreography with the great big Muppets.
[N] Maybe the only downside was,
Herman [Db] and I got along very well.
I mean, [N] it was like, we were fast friends.
But frightening performers, Alice Cooper.
So, beware of ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties.
The problem was, was Miss Piggy.
She was coming on to me pretty strong.
I mean, I had little hoof prints all over me.
And, it was getting to the [E] point where, [Em] you know,
I had to tell her that she was coming on to me.
I really had no designs on her.
Welcome to my nightmare.
[E]
[Dbm] I think [Am] you're gonna feel, you [E] belong.
[D] [E] [B]
Welcome to my nightmare.
[Em]
And, we had to re-record all the music.
[B]
Welcome to my breakdown.
[E]
I hope I didn't scare you.
[Em]
I think I kept the cape and the whole Dracula outfit.
I can't remember if I did or not.
I wish I had it.
[E]
Sweat and laugh and scream.
This life is just a dream.
You know inside you feel.
Well, the whole idea behind it [E] was, it was the Faust thing.
I was trying to [Bm] get Kermit to sell his soul [B] to be a rock [Em] star.
And, a very funny take on it.
Their writers were [Bm] very good and they let us write bits.
[B] You know, in other words, I said, well, it'd be funnier if I,
or it'd be funnier if they [Em] did this.
[E] And, you know, they would let [Em] you do that.

Oh, it's a family name.
He was named after a maiden uncle.
Thanks for watching From [C] the Inside.
If you enjoyed, make [F] sure to like and [E] subscribe for more.
[F] Curious about any specific [Eb] moments in my career?
Let me [A] know what you want to [G] see in the [Bbm] comment section.
[E] Until next time, [F] here's looking at me.
Go [Bb] ask Alice.
I think every star gets asked [Fm] this question right here.
Laurie Mansfield says,
Good evening, Alice.
If [F] you could spend one hour with someone you admire [Bb] and never met,
alive [F] or deceased, who would that be and why?
Laurie [Bb] Mansfield, Heavensville, Indiana.
[F]
I think almost every historical figure has somebody,
is [Fm] somebody you would want to meet for an hour, sit down and talk to.
Wouldn't you want to talk to Hitler and see what [Am] was going on in this guy's head?
And [G] just go, what are you [Bb] thinking?
