Lil Uzi Vert, aka Symeer Woods, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Francisville, [G] Philadelphia.
He began rapping in the 10th grade and has cited his major musical influences as being Wiz Khalifa, [F#m] Meek Mill, and [Bm] Marilyn Manson.
[D] Lil Uzi's original rap name was Vert, which [G] he says stood for vertical,
and he [F#] later changed it to Lil Uzi [Gm] Vert [F#m] after people began describing his rap flow as machine gun-like.
