[N] All right, Ted Nugent, that guy is crazy.
We're going to roll right into this one, but before I do, let me just say I have some free
bass lessons right down in the little clicker box.
You can click on that, get some bass lessons that aren't on YouTube at all, Finn Bar Bass.
You can subscribe to my bass channel if you like.
Let's roll right into this one.
[D#] So for the verses of this song, you're going to be hitting another measure on the fifth
fret [A] of the E string.
[F#] All right, then hit five [C#] notes on the [A] fifth fret.
[D] Open A, [E] third fret of the A, and then fourth fret of the [A] A.
Some people don't play [N] that
open A.
I don't even think he does it on the studio version.
He just plays the, follows the guitar maybe on [E] the third and the fourth.
But I'm going to do [C#] [A] open, third, and then fourth.
[C#] [B] And then you're going to hit the third fret of the E string, second fret of the A, followed
by the fifth [Am] fret of the A.
[G] [D] And then you're going to hit the fifth fret of the D string,
[G] back to the fifth fret of [C#] [Am] the A string, so it looks like this.
[G] [A]
[G]
And when you hit the fifth fret of the A string, you're going to slide to the ninth.
So it looks like this.
[Am]
[G]
And then you're going [N] to hit the seventh fret of the D string, followed by the fifth fret
of the E string.
And that gets back into it.
So that whole thing, [Am]
[D] [A]
[C#] one more time, I'll do it [Am] slow, [G]
[D] [A] [E] a little bit faster.
[G] [D] [A]
[E] And you do that [G] two times for the verses.
Chorus of this song, [F#] you're going to be hitting that fifth fret on the E string, another measure.
And then you're going to be [A] doing the, [Em] [A]
and then fifth for another measure.
[F#]
And then you're going to go to the [B] old, [A]
right, just like you did in the intro.
So all together that's
[Em] [B]
[A] [F#] the song.
He's going back and forth between the sixth fret and the third fret, [A] and throwing an open
[F] A, sixth fret and the [D] third fret of the A, throwing an open A in there, and then sliding
to the sixth and the third.
So it's going to look like [D#] this.
[A] [C]
[D#] [C]
[D#] Right, so you're hitting each one like six times.
[E] Open A, [A] and then slide [C] to the other.
[D#]
[C] [D#]
[N] And then at the end there, when he's riding on that sixth fret, you're going to hit, to
bring it up a notch, you're going to hit open A, then the seventh fret of the A, two open
Es, and then the seventh fret of the A again.
So it [D#] sounds like.
[A] [E]
And [D#] you're going to ride on the A.
[E]
[N]
And that's right before the guitar solo.
That one part in the guitar solo, when he's not doing the normal stuff that I just showed
you, he's riding on the fifth fret of the A [D] string, [E]
right, four hits [D] on the fifth fret,
three hits on the seventh fret of the A string, [E] [F#] and [E] then going down to the third fret of the
A string for four [D] more hits, [C] and [B] then hit the [D] fifth fret, [E] [D]
[A] right.
[E] So do it slowly, it's, that's my dog.
Fifth fret, seventh fret, third [D] fret, fifth fret.
[C]
[D] And then you're [Em] going to do another
[F#] open E, third fret and fourth fret, and then when
you get back to the fifth fret, you're going to be hitting some [A] octaves.
[F#] So you're going to hit the fifth fret twice, seventh fret of the D [A] string twice, and then
you're going to hit the seventh fret once and the fifth fret once.
[Em]
[A]
[N] Just like that.
All right, Cat Scratch Fever, Ted Nugent.
