Here's a performer I've known, Frankie, for many years.
I gotta say, you're one of the nicest guys in the business.
And the popularity of the fourth season, which is getting greater than ever,
it's really an exciting thing.
I know five years ago you had a big hit on the charts.
Number one, five years ago, Big Girls Don't Cry, right?
Nope.
Sherry.
Sherry?
Sherry.
Oh, all right.
I don't know you too well, it just happens to be.
Big Girls Don't Cry was next.
Next one, right after that.
How does it feel, you've been in this business so long?
I mean, been successful for such a long time, Frankie?
I mean, why?
Well, I think it's a number of things, Fred.
First of all, I feel that we are very, very fortunate to have a writer as good as Bob Gordio.
Yeah, he's sensational.
As far as picking songs and records, he's been sensational, he really has been.
We spend a lot of time rehearsing, constantly research is done.
Do you like making records better or do you like performing?
It's a whole different world, making records and performing.
Which do you like to do, I mean?
When you're making records, you're creating, so it's a different thing.
And I get as much out of recording as I do out of performing, but I love to perform.
Do you find a lot of fans who still go back to Sherry and Oh, yes.
They still know you and they still follow, huh?
Now you're doing some of your own, right?
Yes.
How come?
I mean, are you going to break away from the Four Seasons or
No, actually, the first venture we have undertaken besides the Four Seasons was the Wonder Hill.
Yeah, but I mean, that was with the whole group, right?
And then, it's just
You've had a number two record, Can't Take My Eyes, the one you just did now, right?
Number one.
Number one.
Oh, that's sensational.
Hey, that's great.
And when I said number two, I meant number two of all the records of the year.
Okay, how's that?
That's good.
Do the boys follow you around now?
I mean, when you go and you do your
We work together yet, and I have no intentions of ever leaving the group.
When it was decided that I should record, we were shooting in a completely different direction anyway.
And it's just sort of a way of branching out, and the boys all share in the profits, so it makes it kind of groovy for everybody.
No matter what you do, that's insane.
Listen, I saw Gordio here.
Can we
Yeah, he's here somewhere.
Bobby, where is he?
Here comes the sex symbol of the group, Bob Gordio.
Hey, Bobby.
Isn't that that
I think the beard's done it for him, you know?
I mean, now, you know, the sex symbol now with the beard, Bobby, how do you feel?
When did you start with the beard?
I don't know.
This must be, what, two years now, I bet. Two years.
A certain somebody made me take mine off.
Yeah, a certain somebody made you take the beard off, huh? Yeah.
Listen, he must have known what he was doing.
That's like such an insight.
You really think so, bud?
Yeah.
[F] Listen, you got another big one now all of a sudden, Frank.
Well, it looks real good so far.
It looks sensational, and I'm very happy to say that Bobby has also written this particular song.
[Eb] And I sincerely feel it is one of the greatest songs that was ever written.
Listen, you're going to sing it for us first, Bobby.
One question.
You don't feel bad about getting all these single hits?
Frankie, you mean?
Yeah, he's going on and just
No, it's just like two for the price of one.
You mean you both now can participate in everything he does, and you can sit home and just write the hits?
I think [E] basically the thing is Frankie has such a broad scope.
Some of the things we've done before, this kind of enables him to hit a larger market.
He is a very good and excellent, [Gb] legit singer, so we're kind of breaking a few barriers.
Tell me a part now.
Yeah, what do you do?
You sit back and write all those great songs now, Bobby.
[C] I try.
Listen, I saw you two, three years ago performing, and I just saw you recently.
You're getting to be a great, great performer, and I see those
Listen, I've got to say it, Frankie.
You see those girls just flock over him, you know?

I would just like to say one thing about [Bb] performances.
I think a large part is due to, since we went with Mr.
Billy Field.
He's worked with us day in and day out.
He's done just a fantastic job.
So we're not doing any plugs for anybody, you know?
I just thought I'd mention
We're going to cut that part out, okay?
I just think Billy, first of all, is a beautiful person, and if anyone knows how to get anything out of a performance
Well, [Eb] that's great.
He sure does.
He's like old homie.
Listen, Frankie, will you sing that song for us, To Give?
