[Ebm] [Eb]
[Gb] [Bb]
[Bbm] I know I'll stumble.
[Bb] I know I'll still face defeat.
[Gb] These second chances [Ab] will define me.
[Bbm] So I'm moving [Ebm] forward.
I'm standing on my two feet.
[Gb] I've got momentum.
I've got [Ab] someone saving [Eb] me.
I've got someone [Bbm] saving me.
[Ab]
[Bbm] You know, when you're [Db] up on stage, you're literally up on a pedestal in some ways,
and people [Bb] just feel, they can sometimes feel so far away from [Db] you.
And that's why I really like to talk to people one [Ab]-on-one,
because it [Bbm] brings you back together and you say,
you know [Gb] what, I walk on [Ab] two feet too, and [Bb] we both have problems.
[Gb] And, you know, [Db] we probably don't, either of us, [Ab] know what the solution is,
but we can [Gb] be there for each other.
[Ab] You get so nervous when you're talking to people.
I know I [Bbm] do, that you just don't know how to say things right,
and you may be so [Bb] filled with emotion that things don't even come out right,
and you're so nervous that you can't think of what you want to say.
So we have MySpace and Facebook, which are amazing opportunities for [Ab] people to write to us,
and I'm the one who answers [Bb] the messages on the MySpace.
And I think that's my favorite, because there's something about [Gb] writing,
just writing out how you're feeling,
that really gives you the freedom [Fm] to truly express [Ab] every aspect of what's [Eb] going on
and really [Bb] feel like you're being understood.
[Ab]
[Bb] [Gb] [Db] [Ab]
[Bbm] [Db] [Ab] All
[Bbm] [Db] these people just [Ab] open their hearts out and they just pour them out to us.
[Bb] And it just breaks your [Gb] heart to just [Db] see all the pain that's in this [Ab] world.
And so much [Gb] of it is from childhood trauma and [Ab] the things that people have done
and the mistakes that people [Bbm] have made and just created these [Ab] gaping wounds inside these people.
And how [Gb] do you kill something that's growing from inside of you?
You [Ab] have to go inside [Bb] and you have to root it out.
[Bbm] And that's a difficult process.
It's painful.
[Ab] So all we can do [Bb] is just stand like [Eb] lights on the hill and say,
You know [Db] what?
[Ab] I've been to counseling.
[Bbm] I went for a year to [Db] help me.
It [Ab] changed my life.
And we [Bb] just pour into these people and [Gb] just beg them, just give it a [Db] chance.
And just [Ab] to know God loves them so much, [Bbm] and if they will give him a chance,
and if they will draw [Eb] close to him, he will [Db] pull them along.
He will pull them along in the direction that he wants them to go.
[Ab] [Bbm]
[Gb] [Db] [Ab] [Bbm]
[Gb] [Db] [Ab] [Bbm]
[Gb] [Db] [Ab] Jesus says [Bbm] in Matthew,
[Gb] Come to me all you who are weary [Db] and burdened, [Ab] and I will give you rest.
[Bbm]
[Db] My burden is light.
[Bb] And when I start to remember [Gb] that [Db] God's [Ab] hands are [Gb] right there all of the time,
[Ab] just ready to take my burdens, [Bbm] if I will let him,
I begin to understand that [Gb]
overcoming is not about [Eb] forgetting everything bad that's in my life.
Nothing bad has ever happened.
[Bbm]
Like nothing ever went wrong.
[Ab] [Gb] It's about remembering.
It's about remembering [Ab] each and every fall.
[Bbm] And about [Gb] knowing that [Db] God calls [Ab] us.
[Bb] [Gb] [Db] [Ab] [Bbm]
[Gb] [Db] [Ab] [Bbm]
