Welcome to this week's fingerstyle video.
We are now going to start learning
melodies that we read from tab.
So we're taking it in a new direction here but I
hope that you will enjoy this and that you will like learning new songs.

So I am going to put my finger on the
third fret of string E.
[N] Okay and now I'm going to start by picking twice on C
twice on that string that I'm holding down and twice on A.
That's going to give
me the _ first_
_ so [C] _ listen_
how [Am] _ _ _
cool is [Ebm] that?
So easy right?
[C] _ _ _ _
[Am] _ _ And come back to the string
you're [G] holding down _ and you just did the [Db] whole melody. _ _ _
_ Let me move closer so
that you can see better.
As we are doing this, remember to make a house for a
mouse.
A mouse should fit here so that you don't hit the other strings.
That's
gonna give you a mute.
You're not gonna like that.
Curve, curve, curve.
Okay watch me
do it first and then we'll do it together starting on string [C] C.

Okay now let's move [Eb] to the first fret. _

So [D] all I did was two here, that's two [F] F's _ [Em] and two E's. _ _
So
now let's play that together.

[D] So now let's glue those two parts together.

Start from the

Okay let's do [Ebm] that again.

_ [E] _ _ [B] And so now we're going to our lowest sounding string and we're gonna
be on the second fret.

_ So now let's glue
those parts together.

We have
the first section.

The middle section let's ignore for a second.
The last
section is the same exact melody as the top.
So you've learned two thirds of the
song already.
How cool is that?
So now let's learn the middle section and then
we'll have learned the whole song.
So watch me do it first and then we'll do

But notice that
they're not on the same [G] strings.
Okay we're going from the E string to the C
string.
So I'm gonna say three, three, [F] one, one, [E] open, open, [Bb] two. _
