Hey, so today I'm gonna be listening to the song Holy Water by 7 Dust
This is a band that I've heard of for a long time now.
I haven't
Haven't listened to a lot of their stuff before
An [F] old guitar teacher that I had in high school
He always told me about this band and told me how I'll really enjoy listening
to their stuff and
Yeah, and they have an upcoming album very soon
I think July 28th, and they just released a song and I'm gonna check it out.
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna
Check out the album.
So [G] yeah anyways, um, let's get straight into the song.
[Gm] [F]
[Dm] [Bb] [Eb] [C]
[Dm] [F] Yeah
[Eb] That's [Bb] fun
I [C] [Bb]
[G] feel the darkness [F] inside
I'm buried deep [Bb]
in the night
But why do I love it so much?
His vocals really reminds [Dm] me of the [G] vocals for [C] Fire From The Gods
I see the fear [G] as a [Gm] gift
You're a blessing and it's my curse
[F]
[Eb] I'm [D]
[G] a sinner
I'm a [C] [Eb] [D] [G]
[Gm] [F] [Gm]
[Dm] sinner
Lord, [Eb] why should I do what [C] you're giving?
[Dm] Lord, [Gm] [F] why should I do what you're giving?
[Eb] I [Bb] know
I see the [C] light
I hope [Bb] [Gm] you can guide
You can't make flames of a [F] fire
To watch it burn me [D] alive
For reasons [Eb] I'll never know
[Bb]
[Gm] One little thing to [F] survive
I used to pray [A] but I'm [Eb] dead
I'm here forever
[Bb] [F] I'm here forever
[Eb] [D] I'm here forever
I'm here forever
Oh [Eb] man, [Dm] I wasn't [Cm] expecting that drop the first [D] time
You're a blessing
[Gm] [F] and it's my curse
[Gm]
[Dm] I [Gm] [Eb] [C]
[Dm] [Bb] see [F] [Eb]
[Bb] [Dm] the light
I hope [Bb] you [Eb] can guide
You [F] [Dm] can't [F] make flames of a fire
To watch [Gm] it burn me [Am] [F] alive
For reasons I'll never know
[Gm] Anything [Eb] [F] I have
[C] I [G]
[A] didn't believe in
[Dm]
[G] Holy water
Drop [C] me in the river
[Bb] Someday [Eb] waterfall
[C]
[Dm] [F] Let's [Eb] pray right [Bb] now
Someday I'll [F] see the light
I [Gm] hope you can guide
You [Dm] can't make flames of a [F] fire
To watch it burn me [Gm] alive
For reasons I'll never know
[Bb] SOMEDAY, MOTHER, [Eb] PLEASE TURN YOUR LIGHT [C] ON, [Gm] GIVE ME
[Dm] HOLY [Gm] [F] WATER, I'M FIGHTING TO THE [Eb] STAIN RIGHT NOW
SOMEDAY I'LL SEE THE [C] LIGHT, [Gm] I HOPE FOR
[G] IT, YOU HAVE MY Damn.
Okay!
So that was Holy Water by 7Dust.
It's a very nice [N] alternative metal song, but with a bit of djent here and there, some chugs
in the music.
It's very fun.
I really like it.
There's not a lot of bands that sound like that, really.
I think these guys are kind of the pioneers of using low
or not, they're not the pioneers of it.
But, they, back whenever, I think this is what my guitar teacher told me, whenever you
saw me listening to like, periphery or just djenty music in general, that these guys were
the ones that really implemented that sound into music and really started using lower
string guitars to make those djenty and jumpy riffs.
But I really enjoyed it.
A very consistent song from start to finish.
Really loved the vocals.
Again, really gives me the Fire From The Gods feel, in a way.
And both vocalists are black and they have that very distinct accent or vocal delivery
that is very fun to listen to.
And yeah, I think that's all I really have to say.
I'm pretty sure I will check out this upcoming album.
And yeah, I think that's all I really have to say.
But anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the video.
If you have any suggestions,
