new Fender guitar that just came in our store today.
This is the Fender Jim Atkins model Telecaster.
_ Jim Atkins is the guitarist with Jimmy Eat World.
This is a very, very interesting amalgamation of features.
First of all, we have a swamp ash body, and this is two pieces of swamp ash,
chambered, at least in this upper chamber.
You can see the back of it is a very, very nice grain of wood.
It's mated to a set-in neck, all maple neck.
Very rigid.
We have Fender Schaller type tuning gears. _ _
The fretboard is a 22 fret rosewood board with medium jumbo frets in a 9.5 inch radius.
This is something that is very different on a Telecaster also,
in that it uses a stop tailpiece and a stop bridge.
A typical Gibson type of idea.
Mated to two volumes, two tone controls, which are then mated to two Seymour Duncan P90 pickups.
Like I said, it's a very interesting amalgamation of ideas.
Very airy sounding guitar.
Very vintage sounding, but very, very easy to play.
At the beginning of the video, you heard just the neck pickup.
So this is the neck and the bridge together.

_ It's interesting, [Eb] playing this guitar, you can really, really [Bb] feel the resonance coming off the tone chamber.
So it's a very surprisingly versatile instrument.
And it's not too heavy.
It stays in tune very, very [E] well.
And on top of all of that, it looks pretty good.
