My name is Father Ray Kelly.
I'm [F] a parish priest in Old Castle in County [Bb] Meath,
and I've been parish priest [F] there for the last eight and a half years.
[Eb] Would you welcome please, Father Ray [Bb] Kelly, ladies and gentlemen.
[F] My whole life has changed really, I suppose, in the last year.
If somebody was to tell me [Bb] last year that I'd be in front of [F] cameras and singing on stage
[Bb] and doing television shows and being interviewed [F] on the television,
I would have sort of [Eb] taken a laugh at them, really.
[Bb] I [F] was performing a wedding in Old Castle in my parish last April, on the 5th of April last.
I [F] stepped up from my chair and I went behind [Bb] the altar and I pressed my backing track,
[F] which was the song to [Eb] Hallelujah.
[C] And I sung Hallelujah with the [Am] words changed, incorporating the bride and [C] groom and their day into the [Am] words.
We join [Am] together here today, to [C] help the people on their way, as [F] we in Christ [F] our paradise together.
[C]
You could see the reaction [G] to the crowd almost instantly.
There was tears [C] coming out of the bride and there was [F] all kinds of things happening.
[G] For a while [C] they were looking at where was the sound coming from,
and then they realised [F] it was the priest that was actually singing.
[G] Show them how much [E] we all love [Am] to be here.
[F]
Hallelujah.
[Am] [F]
[Em] Hallelujah.

[Bbm] Tuesday after [F] the wedding, the bride and groom sent me an email, [Bb] just to thank me for everything.
Oh, and by the way, [F] you're on YouTube.
And I hit the link [Em] and lo and [E] behold, there I was watching [D] myself.
I suppose within an hour, [Bm]
phone calls were coming [D] in and texts were coming in.
Father [Bm] Ray, you're on YouTube, you're on Facebook.
[G] Do you realise you're a thousand hits, you're two thousand hits.
And this was going on [D] and on and on for days.

What do you think?

The big [Eb] highlight was the fact that I signed a record deal, [Bb] which is fantastic.
I mean, you know, at my age to be doing something like that.
