Falling In Love With Jesus - Michael Duchesne & Ben Sekali Cover (Live @ Psalter Studios) chords
Start Jamming...
We always had in our household we always had music playing, you know, my old man is a singer
Played the sax
You know, we had always had guitars, you know classical guitars just laying around the house and you know
If there was a party, you know, there was it would always end up being a jam [N] and someone would get the congas out
And you know, it always sort of you know, I think I started playing the keyboard had a Casio keyboard
Probably when I was 10 or something and sort of taught myself a few
with the light up the light up keys taught myself some classical tunes and and
in like Star Wars and
and
actually the way I got into guitar was when I
Eventually went to get piano lessons.
I think I was in year eight in high school and
And I went to school in black town and a lot of Pacific Islanders and they were all just jamming and you know
At that age man, everyone was just, you know learning by ear and they were all jamming and singing
And I'm here going for piano lessons and I'll totally regret it now
But you know, she's got me like locked into these thing and I'm blind as a bat
So I'm like looking at these things and trying to read score and you know the corner of my eye
There's a you know guitar and it's all I'm thinking about, you know, I'm at these lessons
I think I lasted about a month and like just jump straight onto the guitar and like never look back really
Yeah, yeah [D] falling in love with Jesus it was a
It's written by a South African guy Jonathan Butler
[A] who was you know, he had a massive pop career in South Africa and sort of moved to America and and
And is now a gospel artist strictly gospel artist and I first heard that song on
the Kirk Whalum's
Gospel according to jazz with Kirk Whalum and it just blew my mind man
He got Jonathan Butler out to do this tune and you know, all of our favorite musicians are on that thing
And you know Jonathan's also a fabulous guitarist and he's amazing.
Left handed as well.
That's right.
Yeah.
Yeah, he is.
Left handed man.
Yeah, and [F#] um
Yeah, that song stuck since the first time I heard it and I was [E] reminded of it a couple months ago actually
[A] I [D] feel protected
Simple it was just falling in love with Jesus best thing [A] I've ever done and that's one verse
Yeah, and but it means so [D] much.
It's it's got such a deep connection to him man like
even the second verse says [E] like
We're in his arms.
I feel protected
I feel I never feel disconnected.
So it's it's got a whole
[D] Deeper meaning for it man like through Christ.
It's you know finding a relationship with Christ man.
It's
Best thing and he's done it perfectly made the song perfectly
